I really miss Earl
This sounds about right.
Although Clark’s talent is endless, he still needs to master the mental aspect of the game. In fact, in the VSL finale Clark actually passed the ball in bounds to the same referee that just handed him the ball, talk about a mental lapse. Summer League coach Dan Majerle has been adamant about Clark’s need to play with intensity, but if he can get that down, everything should come together for Clark.
I still say the man is a contributor sooner rather than later.

i have to
disagree…
although i have in the past been very hard on clark, and still do not like him…
I just don’t think he is as good as he could have been… nor do i think he will ever be that good. I just don think he is smart enough to realize he has tremendous potential. little less know how to use it for more than a 5 minute stretch.
good luck to clark, but i wish he left a year sooner…
im probably the only one who will say… i wish DC stuck around and worked out… he will be a better JR/SR than clark was i think… but then again at UTEP he wont plays monsters every game…
we’ll see…..

I have to disagree with you as well
I just cant see how you speak negatively about someone as good as Earl was for us. Without Earl, we would have flamed out much earlier in the BE tourney, and last year (08) in the NCAAs as well. We would have lost many more BE games also. To say that Caracter would have been better as JR/SR is silly..DC had the work ethic/life outlook of a lazy ass eighth grader.. (not that I dont hope for the best for DC).
Ill miss Earl as well, and I think you will come around once next season starts..

I see your point
However, I’m glad he came back, we were a much much better team with him. Sure, he didn’t always bring it 100%, and he better change that quick if he wants to stay in the pro’s, but overall, he helped us tremendously. As far as DC, good riddance.

i didn't mean
that DC was a bigger part of our team.
I was just stating… if DC used his ability the way he COULD have…. he would have been better than Earl when he used HIs ability…
Clark had great moments in games… he never had a great game… i wont miss him…
I too am glad he stayed last year simply be we WERE a better team WITH him on our team…
but I also thing that he could have been replaced….
Seriously.. If he stays in draft last year… Pitino wouldnt have been so forceful to bounce DC…
Seriously.. If he stays in draft last year… Pitino wouldnt have been so forceful to bounce DC…DC could have given us roughly the same amount of minutes as Clark did. (well actually after thinking how well he got into foul trouble) maybe not…

(well actually after thinking how well he got into foul trouble) maybe not…but when ability and attitude is applied properly, I fell Dc would have more talent…

signed, the department of redundancy department
no great games for E5? i guess 27pts and 16rbds is pretty pedestrian… same for the 16 and 11 he put on the #1 team (pitt), which includes the dagger jumper… i mean 16 and 13 against syracuse is nothing too… i wish DC the best, and who knows – he could have been great if he had bought in (like earl). talent or no talent, you have to put the work in. earl did, DC did not. thats the difference. we can throw hypotheticals and what ifs around all day. pitino gave the kid multiple chances, and it did not work out.
