2009-2010 Big East Mens BBall Schedule
Courtesy of UofL:
The University of Louisville's 2009-10 men's basketball season in the BIG EAST Conference will include a challenging slate of 18 games, including two games each against Connecticut, Syracuse and St. John's.Louisville's home conference opponents will include Cincinnati, Connecticut, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Rutgers, St. John's, USF, Syracuse, and Villanova. The Cardinals' nine league road games will be at Connecticut, DePaul, Marquette, Pittsburgh, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall, Syracuse and West Virginia.
At first (preseason) glance, it's a tough road schedule. I'm glad we only play WVU and MU once. Also, I'm interested to see who the final home game is for the last year of Freedom Hall. I guarantee we'll have to win that one in a dogfight to the end: a fitting tribue to 'the Hall'. I know this guy will be there.

Senior Day is always rough
But saying goodbye to Jerry coupled with saying goodbye to the Hall is going to be Where the Red Fern Grows rough

I can't really..
….fathom the last game in FH. This last season was so amazing, no matter how awesome the new arena is (and it looks awesome), it won’t be Freedom Hall.
Anyway, good that we get Nova at home. Tough to be @WVu again, they, Nova and UConn should be pre-season favorites right? Maybe we can break through in Hartford/Storrs, and Pitt should be down. Overall a tough schedule as always, glad we get UConn and Syracuse twice. Screw both those guys.

this officially got me excited for basketball season
Agree with the previous two comments, it is hard to imagine going to a home game anywhere other than Freedom Hall. Haven’t looked at the rosters in-depth by any means, but it seems like Villanova and West Virginia will be our biggest challengers next year (maybe Cuse? though no Flynn is going to hurt), so we got a split with the schedule in that regard.
It’s been a good 17 years with Jerry, +100 for a children’s southern lit reference, Mike. It ain’t easy.

sorry, I’m slow today.
I can remember walking up the smokey corridor ramps of Freedom Hall as a kid, trapsing my way to a high corner section with an invaluable ticket that Dad managed to score. My first "what do you want to be" ambition in life was to be a ball boy for the Cards, back in the 4th grade. Going to a Louisville game in Freedom Hall was the highlight of my youth…passing it on the freeway will soon be akin to passing the home I grew up in back in Fern Creek. All those hot dog dinners spent with my Uncle Denny and cousins DeJaun, Reece, Samaki, Felton, Beau Zach, Cisco, Luke, T-Will, Tick, Alvin and many more…So many memories, indeed.
I’m going to go ahead and put 3-1 odds on Denny giving the Eulogy after the last home game.
