Outside the Lines on Jeremy Tyler

Listen closely for the sound of Sonny Vaccaro's head exploding when Todd Boyd says we have to start thinking about these kids as more than basketball players.

Does anyone else think....

that Vaccaro looks like an older, cracked out John L Smith? I see a resemblance there.

Sonny Vaccaro is the biggest toolbag douche I've ever seen.

Also, the fact that a person with no high school diploma or GED will be making millions while hard working college graduates struggle to make ends meet sickens me and makes me sad for society. This is all such a terrible turn of events.

Capitalism

It’s a good thing.

Absolutely absurd

since when is education a bad thing? Sonny Vaccaro is trying to make it seem like these kids are doomed to fail if they go to college and that they, of all things, don’t even need a high school diploma? What the hell is the matter with society if we can’t get a kid to go to his SENIOR YEAR in HIGH SCHOOL before he goes to the big leagues and starts earning millions?

I hear you

I work in higher education and am pursuing a Master’s Degree in the same, so I understand.

But I still love capitalism.

whats wrong with requiring

these young men to “polish the rough edges” before turning them loose into the real world? IMO uneducated young athletes is a bad thing for the NBA image..
