Louisville leads Notre Dame with play suspended
The Louisville baseball team scored seven runs in the first inning of its second round Big East Tournament game against Notre Dame Wednesday, and holds a 9-2 lead with play suspended after three innings because of rain.
The game will resume tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
Andrew Clark and Jeff Arnold both homered in the first to spark the early onslaught, but the Cards, who have scored nine runs on just four hits, also benefited from Fighting Irish starter Ryan Richter's inability to find the strike zone or hold runners on base.
A U of L victory will bring the Cards just a win away from their second Big East title game in as many seasons.

This is awesome
This baseball program has been so incredible to watch for the past three seasons.
Marks is the deal.
Cards have done it again
The University of Louisville has defeated Notre Dame 12 to 2. (I think. Reception was lousy. ) But the important thing is we’ve won again and now can play for the tournament championship and its automatic NCAA tournament bid. Way to go Cards and Coach McDonnell.
