Open Thread: Louisville vs. Connecticut

I'll admit it: I'm excited.

Connecticut is one double-digit win away from solidifying its legacy as one of the greatest teams in the history of college athletics. Add in the fact that the Huskies have already blown out the Cardinals twice by a combined 67 points, and a Louisville win tonight immediately vaults near the top of the list of greatest college hoops upsets.

Go Cards.

Best of luck to our Ladies tonight....

I keep hearing the broadcaster shout “do you believe in miracles?” when the USA won the hockey game over Russia all those years ago…..wouldn’t it wonderful if we experienced that tonight? I know, I know…not much chance but hey, I never thought they’d make it to the championship game. I’m excited too Mike. Come on Cardinals….do this. Do it for yourselves, your coach and the U of L…. this is your moment.

Gotta say I'm really high on this game....

…win or lose, the Card’s (Women tonight, Men the other night) have shown that Louisville Basketball is a force to be reckoned with.

Go Cards…and that’s a gender neutral chant :)

By the way...

…Mike, what is the picture called? I recommendation: Fanatically Focused Jeff Walz.

So if somehow we win...

Where is the wild celebration? Block off Baxter Avenue? Granville? It’s been a while since we’ve had a championship celebration.

I'm pumped.

Go Cards. Win or lose you ladies broke ground, and that don’t happen often.

Uhh...

…did that giant girl just SHOVE our little freshman shooter and they called a foul on our player?

Other than bad shooting, we played pretty well that half.

And we’re down 14. Yikes.

I will say that with Charlies kicking our ass, I wish that Chartise Wright were able to play in this game. UConn would still be the better team, but the odds would be a bit more even for the possible upset.

Jeff Walz can coach.

What a great play to open the game, and the players just are off tonight.

We need

the ball to go through the basket a lot more on our end!

UConn is awesome...

sad for our girls but they should be proud of making it to the championship game…..by the way, I’m getting beat up by a couple of “strangers” on my Have you seen Mitch Barnhart post……HELP!!!!
