Louisville crushes Kentucky in Lexington
Louisville exploded for six runs in the seventh inning and added another three in the eighth to top arch-rival Kentucky 11-2 last night at Cliff Hagan Stadium in Lexington. The margin of victory was the largest for the Cards over the Cats since a 15-4 win in 1992.
Chris Dominguez again led the way for U of L at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and drilling his team-best 13th home run of the season. Drew Haynes, Andrew Clark, Phil Wunderlich and John Dao each added two hits.
Louisville, which currently sits at 12-6 and tied for second in the Big East, opens a three-game set at Villanova Friday afternoon at 3:45.
Additional congrats to the Louisville softball team which also defeated Kentucky on Tuesday, topping the Cats 2-0 at Ulmer Stadium.

That's awesome.
It’s a shame they couldn’t do that at home.
It’s also a shame it was frigid.
And rainy.
Sweet!
Louisville is coming on strong now, and Kentucky is fading badly. Louisville is looking good to make the tournament at this point.
This story hits on two of the dozen or so things I like least in all the sporting world. UK and SEC baseball teams.

College Baseball...
is only boring when your team stinks. I love going to the Pat watching the Cardinals. So glad Chris came back this year. I like where we are right now in the BE – it would be sweet to make it back to the World Series……I heard a commentator say the other day that U of L Softball is a lock for the World Series this year….that would be cool if both teams could go and U of L would be in 2 WS games. Oh yeah. ,o)
oh yeah....
any time we can crush them, it’s all good………………….U of L is really looking good. Go CARDS!
Successful Louisville teams
not boring.

Refrence...
was to college baseball..not any certain team.
Kendall Rogers at Rivals thinks UofL still is on the outside looking in:
Below are his thoughts on where UofL stands today: Link to the full story here.
Louisville
Record: 30-13
RPI: 53
This weekend’s opponent: at Villanova
Analysis: It was said earlier this spring that getting swept at Florida to start the season would cause major headaches for the Cardinals at the end of the season. Well, that is proving to be the case with only a few weeks left until Selection Monday. The Cards have a respectable RPI and a good overall record, but lack marquee wins. They are just 1-4 against top-50 RPI teams and 5-7 against top-100 RPI teams. The Cardinals must take care of Ohio State, Western Kentucky and South Florida in remaining contests.

Is that a Bea Arthur reference?
Maybe the Big East is “beaing” so down because of the death of Bea Arthur. I know I am.
