Damn Mike Marra is tatted up, and damn Rakeem Buckles is not swayed by peer pressure.

Strong

For some reason, I was thinking that Rakeem was bigger – not height-wise, but weight. Anyway, if Marra is the shooter that Coach thinks he is and will become, watch out. You also get the impression that Siva is going to push Edgar hard for the point starting job.

I’m still in a funk over the Eilte Eight.

you’d think at 55 i wouldn’t care what a bunch of 18-21 yr olds did (who weren’t my kids)

but i do

He’ll regret that one in a couple of years.

LOL

Doesn’t it look like Siva has a hair scrunchie around his left wrist?

thoughts

-I think Van Treese will suck and transfer at some point.
-Peyton is cool.
-Agree that Buckles is a lot smaller than expected
-Holy shit Marra is a dirtbag. We dont need an Eric Devendorf. No idea what his personality is like and yes its very unfair for me to compare them but its safe to say the 2 have a decent amount in common. Hopefully not the same approach to women.

you take one look

see that’s he’s white and has some tattoos and call him a dirtbag and liken him to devendorf? that’s weak. they have a decent amount in common? you got anything besides that they’re both white and have some tattoos?

I’m just pumped the kids coming to UofL.

You can’t stereotype kids like that. Its 2009. My retired English professor Grandma just got a freakin tatoo.

if youre not used to tats by now

you better start looking elsewhere for a team to cheer for..lol

Im not making any assumptions until I see the fellas on the court.

haha, no kidding...

Tats in the basketball world are the equivalent to steroids in baseball and men wearing women’s clothing in figure skating. Doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re a difficult person to get along with—its merely just a product of the culture each respective sport has manufactured over the years.

Nice oop...

…Siva to Buckles.

Hopefully see that combo a few times in the next couple of years. Buckles needs to put on some weight but I imagine he will under Pitino.

Looks to me like a great shooter

we definitely dont need shooters on this high powered offensive team…heavy sarcasm

talked to marra tonight...

he looks a little devendorf like… but he is a very humble kid…

he dont even talk with all the slang that he would look like he would…

very nice to fans after the classic…

if Siva stays all 4 years, he mat be loved more than T-Will… he has that kind of personality…

buckles will be decent… he will be a better george goode….

van treese might see the court his jr year… if he stays…

chillin villian

better George Goode?

But we don’t know yet how goode George can be. (Couldn’t resist.) Seriously, I thought GG had a couple of great showings around turn of year, then coach disappeared him. ???

From the C-J:

bq.Siva was the first to try the most ambitious dunk, to the delight of the current U of L players assembled at midcourt. He had Sosa lob the ball from the bleachers. The ball bounced too high on the first attempt, so Siva waited to catch it and dunk it the second time around.

bq.“It was my idea,” Siva said. “I wanted to show everyone we’re going to be good teammates next year, but the ball was too bouncy.”

That last quote pretty much sums up Sosa’s relationship with UL basketball as a whole.
