McDonald's All American Game Thread?

I didn't see one posted, so I was just wondering if there was going to be one posted.  If not, I guess anyone who's interested can discuss it here.

blah blah blah... 75 words... blah blah blah

Your FanPost must be at least 75 words long. Right now it's only 31 words long. If you just have a quote, link, video or photo you'd like to share with the community, try creating a FanShot instead.

Siva looked damn impressive

8pts 7 assists couple of steals and a few rebounds….saw a few no look passes that reminded me of our beloved #1. Did you see the 360 layup? sick..

can we get 3 really good shooters now--i mean legit pure shooters

we have had two Elite 8 teams with a bunch of talent go down in flames because of erratic shooting—

you need at least 3

I'm not sure you really need at least three.

But either way, we’ve got Jerry Smith and Mike Marra coming next year.

While Knowles is actually a point guard (so is Jerry), he also is pretty much a good shooter. He was a bit erratic during the tournament, but that really was probably just nerves. This was really the first time he’s gotten a lot of playing time in the tournament.

Niether Jerry nor Preston are Point guards

They have no handles. Small two’s are what they are. I wouldn’t trade them for anyone but they are a little small for two’s.

They're converted 2s.

With McGee and Sosa on the roster, we needed 2s, not 1s. I guarantee that had we needed a point guard, one of them would have been able to step up.

In fact, earlier in the season when McGee was in foul trouble and Sosa was playing poorly, Jerry did play the point for a few minutes, and as I recall everything was fine.

I’m not saying they should be point guards next year or anything. I’m just saying that they are good shooter who are converted shooting guards but have the experience at point guard.

You have to be able to

handle the basketball at this level. Jerry and Preston slap down at the ball. Ball handling is not their strength. High school is high school. Look at the level of competition. Sosa and Siva are going to be the only point guards on next years team. End of story.
