This time it's for real

Billy G is gone.  Orlando Sentinel says Donovan has resigned at Florida. Of course, WHAS reported all of this last night, then backtracked a bit and issued the ol' denial statement put out by the university.  Wonder if it's true that UK decided to time this announcement on the day that it's cross-state rival was playing for a spot in the Elite Eight?  Nah.  They'd never stoop to such things I'm sure.

The more you guys win, the more spotlight will be had

Trust me, UK folks really haven’t been paying attention to Louisville basketball the last couple of days.

Good luck tonight! Hopefully you guys will keep rolling and staying in the spotlight through next week.

I was wrong, wrong, wrong

about the Sentinel. They are just speculating, and I passed along an unfounded rumor from a work-mate. Sorry for the misleading info.

The Orlando paper does say that Donovan was in Florida last night, and not in Louisville, which was another part of the aforementioned rumor.

ESPN News

Had a pretty definitive statement from the Florida AD stating that BD wouldn’t be looking at any open positions and something similar from the coach himself. We all know (Bobby Petrino) what such statements are worth, but I wanted to post what the Florida folks are saying.

On a more humurous note, ESPN News ran footage of BCG running away from a camerman trying to get a quote. It looked like a car chase.

As a U of L fan, I wanted Billy G there for a few more years.

But if Kentucky wants to send its program in a new — and better — direction, they probably ought to turn to one of their own, probably Travis Ford. He knows what the job entails. So does Pelphrey at Arkansas. Ford has had more success.

Travis Ford is an up and comer

Pelphrey as well-but to me youre trading six of one for half dozen another..

UK needs a coach with experience, a coach that can pull in recruits year in and out…

(man it pains me to say all that..)

I could care who yUK gets.....

they’ll run him off in a few years anyway. Pathetic. See this link – Billy D. too smart to go there……let’s focus on U of L and our game tonight Go CARDS and keep on going……
