It must be regional...

and I just updated it after figuring it out… but TWill is on all regions covers..just not the big picture.

Daily?

if you go to si.com, they have daily covers for 3/21 (DeJuan Blair), 3/23 (Blake Griffin), 3/24 (Isaiah Thomas), 3/25 (Raymon Morgan), and 3/26 (Terrence Williams). T-Will’s is here:

Also

I’m betting Angel is in there somewhere too.

No longer scared.

Regional covers aren’t as jinxable.

I'm telling all of my buddies out there.....

all this hype is soooo scary. Ever hear of “Too Hot Not To Cool Down”? How on earth can we live up to all of this? How can Coach keep our guys focused with all that’s going on??? All of this is starting to scare the beejeebers out of me too. Go CARDS!

In 2005...

…we were a popular choice to make the Final Four because many people felt we were underseeded and Washington was the worst one seed. We came through. I’m just trying to make myself feel better.

Gotta have faith in Coach P.

He has been here and done this before. He will be able to get the players attention. Plus we are playing really good right now.

TWill gets a triple double on Friday

Then graces the cover of SI again next week in a similar ADMM pose. And when this happens I will quit work and my life’s goal will be to be his friend.

SI was on such a role, then I found this while perusing their online photo galleries:

This picture’s caption is obviously wrong. Forgive me for my youthful ignorance, but which triumphant Card moment is it that’s captured here?

Florida Dude

The picture and the caption are both correct, but only in Frankpos’ parallel universe, where we always beat UK for the National Championship, because he is some c r a z e d motha!

Gosh, at first I didn’t even recognize Lancaster…thought he was Herbert Crook. We wore RED in ’86.
So this must have been ’80 against the UCLANS?

Have a good one.

They have everything right but the "national" part.

That was after the 1983 dream game in which we beat UK for the regional championship and a trip to the final four against Houston. The players, year, and opponents are correct, though.

Thanks, 83

didn’t know Denny cut down nets for the Regions…maybe because of the special opponent?…and Frank was in Stokely in Knoxville to see it that day.

Any else notice the lack of a UCONN player?

They have a large photo of every other 1 seed but UCONN. Oversight? Slight? or Incompetence? In any event I’d pissed if I was a UCONN fan, but since I’m not, I just thought it was a an interesting observation.
