Cards one win away from second Big East championship in eight days

I'm still trying to figure out whether or not that second half actually happened.

The Big East championship game: 9 p.m., ESPN, Madison Square Garden. It's not exactly 11 a.m. at th FedEx Forum.

This is too much fun. I love this team.

'cuse or wvu?

kinda hoping we get ‘Cuse.
1) Hard to beat a team 3 times in a season
2) If Cuse isn’t exhausted tonight, we’ll wear their asses out tomorrow.

I agree.

Plus, despite the fact that West Virginia is the “hottest team in the Big East,” the Syracuse win would be better.

I still can't believe that....

….and Cuse is starting to run away from WVU.

The path is opening up in front of us. #1 seed in Indy.

And most importantly, no matter what happens tomorrow, we will not be the #2 seed in UNC’s bracket. And since they won’t put us in a bracket with UConn and Pitt I like our chances.

And just like that....

WVU is up by 4.

No matter what it won’t be easy tomorrow night.

these are big fts

if they go down, it will be tough for wvu

still, my gold standard for out of reach is 6 points in 35 seconds, a la UofL vs TN in 03

enh im rooting for the cuse

several reasons:

1) they’ll be EXHAUSTED
2) it’s a rule of thumb: impossible to beat a (good) team three times in a season, which we’d have to do against WVU
3) higher ranking, further cementing a bid for a 1 with a win

good reasoning.

i think it would be hard to argue against a 1 seed if that plays out, but they will argue against it regardless.

For the first half....

…..if we make some shots and press in the first half, I think they will be pretty dang exhausted by the 10 minute mark of the 2nd half.

if they came out the way they did tonight, i think they'll still have it.

they’re playing for a championship. tomorrow’s going to be tough.
