Man

UConn is freaking tough.

by Dais on Mar 10, 2009 7:07 PM EDT reply actions

I didn't expect Louisville to win.

I didn’t expect it to be close.

But I thought the first half would be closer than this.

Got 'em right where we want them

UConn is tough.

Maybe not such a great idea for Courtney Paris to make her guarantee: http://deadspin.com/5166766/courtney-paris-bets-her-scholarship-on-a-national-title

angel...

whines and complains a lot…

this would be a different team if angel would just grow a pair

Both UConn men and women's teams must practice against each other

I still find it odd that every year there is 1 team in WBB that no one can beat.

28-19 Dame at the break

McAlarney has eight and ’Gody’s got seven.

Lighting up the nets there ehh?

and yes I’m trying to sound Candian. Makes this thread/women’s game more entertaining.

We, we, we,..... we, we, we,..... we, we, we

What kind of halftime interview was that? I think Walz really has to pee.

He stutters

But he is a fucking awesome coach…it appears that you know neither of these facts.

by BR7 on Mar 10, 2009 7:59 PM EDT up reply actions

please dont be so ignorant

first, he’s a Card, he’s an awesome coach, and from what i’ve heard, a good person also.

by Ben Go CARDS on Mar 10, 2009 8:01 PM EDT up reply actions

I know he is a great coach...

Calm down Francis. I have never heard the man talk before. When you live 2500 miles away you don’t get the chance to hear the women’s coach talk very much. Sheesh.

Oh, and I take back what I said

I meant no harm by it whatsoever. Sorry to anyone I insulted.

LOL

I’m on a roll today. Man, I need to quit typing starting now.

Notre Dame's going to win this game

But they don’t look like a team capable of beating West Virginia let alone Pitt.

For whatever reason Harangody looks completely incapable of hitting the 18-footer inside MSG.

by Mike Rutherford on Mar 10, 2009 8:48 PM EDT reply actions

'Gody also not playing a lot

This is Mike Brey doing the basketball equivalent of saving his ace pitcher for the championship in a single-elimination tournament. He knows five wins in five days is probably the only way they get this done.

by Mike Rutherford on Mar 10, 2009 8:50 PM EDT up reply actions

not sure thats a great idea

if you need the game, use your ace until the game is out of hand, then rest. they got by with this one, but dont look like they have much of a chance getting past WVU and Pitt, which they will need to have a chance at the NCAA tourney

by Ben Go CARDS on Mar 10, 2009 8:54 PM EDT up reply actions

That was ugly

I don’t understand Waltz not calling a timeout at the beginning of the game.

I was also listening to some Cincinnati radio tonight….they are PISSED. Lance McAllister (the host) was openly calling for Mick’s head.

NDSU/Oakland game is a classic

The Bison – looking to get to the big dance in their first season of postseason eligibility – are a terrific story.

by Mike Rutherford on Mar 10, 2009 9:49 PM EDT reply actions

that last shot by oakland was so close, that's a heartbreaker for them

but woodside and co could make it an interesting half against someone good maybe

Time to root for WKU

Why not? If they’re a tourney team and conference champ, the loss from November is somewhat mitigated.
