Retro Uni Sunday

A reporter asked Pitino if he would be donning the infamous white suit again this Sunday for the White Out game.  He responded that he hadn't had time to think about it yet, but did say that the Cards will be rocking some throwback uniforms for the tilt against the Golden Eagles.  Word is they will be from the '60s era sans the mini shorts.  Should be quite the environment Sunday at the Hall....

I know everybody loved the white suit, as did I, but...

…let’s not forget that it wasn’t really a good luck charm last year. We were down by 9 (I think?) at the half and were not playing that well. In fact, he took the suit off at halftime and we came back strong in the second. I’d love to see Pitino rocking the white just as much as you guys, but the black Armanis have been working pretty well thus far. And I think ADMM has proven that it’s best not to mess with a working thing.

nobody wants to revisit those ugly uniforms that were even before MY time and I’m old as dirt…………………..UGH!

Now hold on Linda--the unis of that time were a bit ugly, but

I can tell you this:

It will will excite / inflame/ drive crazy

the males

I’m not exactly sure why—but it excites me on some primal level.

It’s like putting on the war paint of your ancestors, as you prepare for battle ; – )

And In Addition

Wiley Brown will be our first substitute after the 16:00 TV Timeout

What will they look like?

Unfortunately, I’m not up on my Cardinal Chronology. Are we in the “Dunking Cardinal” era, or just “Louisville” sewn onto the front? Maybe the rendition of the Cardinal Bird that is all straight lines and sort of boxy? Help, I graduated in ’07!

I honestly do too--the fans would go bonkers

but the players of today

no go

too cool

yet then if you wore what they wore today? Jesus…old folks home.

It wasn’t the sexual revolution for nothing, Sammy ; – )

I honestly hope they keep the regular uniforms in the locker room.

A halftime switch a la Pitino white suit may be in order if things are going poorly at halftime.

Other than that, I’m looking forward to it.

by frankpos on Feb 28, 2009 7:46 PM EST up reply actions

I usually could not care less about uniforms

but those looked great; I liked them better than the regulars.
