No one wants to be no.1. OK won't fall far though, they played great ball on the road without their guy. I feel like we SHOULD jump UNC, but I think we won't.
So we're probably not top 5, yet.
1)Pitt
2)UConn
3)Memphis
4)OK
5)NC
6)Louisville
Oddly enough all of this carnage has made the top seeds look a little clearer to me, actually.
Pitt, OK, NC, and UConn or UL
I can't see Memphis getting a 1 seed. I can't the the BE not getting two. UNC would probably have to lose two more games to drop out 'cause the ACC's gotta get one, right? Right?
So I come back to this - If Pitt beats UConn again, and we win out plus get deeper into the BET than the Huskies, we gotta be that 4th 1 seed. right?
Still - we've got to get wins AT GTown & WVU and beat Marquette. I think my fear of GTown is irrational, but I'm still worried. Marquette is tough, but I can't imagine there is any way we won't be completely up for that game, so I think it will come down to our trip to morgantown. So much work left to do, but I see a little light.
The bigger question: Can we handle a 1 seed? Discuss.
