Around SBN: Has Kentucky Improved Since the Non-Conference Season?

What to watch: 2/17/09

History_medium

Michigan State at Purdue (7 p.m./ESPN)

Could the Big Ten regular season title be at stake? It's possible.

I should be a national voice.

Penn at Princeton (7 p.m./ESPNU)

Both teams are looking to stay within striking distance of Cornell in the 14-game tournament.

Maryland at Clemson (7:30 p.m./ESPN2)

You'd think it'd be fun, but I can almost guarantee that it won't be.

Ohio at Kent State (7:30 p.m./FS Ohio)

Both have winning league records, but in this year's MAC that's good enough for last place and second to last place in the East division.

Seton Hall at Marquette (8 p.m./SNY/MASN)

A must-win for Marquette if they're serious about this whole winning the Big East regular season title thing.

Kentucky at Vanderbilt (9 p.m./ESPN)

Did they play at Memorial last season?

New Mexico at BYU (10 p.m./The Mountain)

Both are 7-3 in the Mountain West, and yet somehow I still don't care.

Possibly

a #2 Leverage candidate, just behind DC, as a threat to be best man at your prospective wedding.

Yes Mike, they did...

…and you have provided a photo from said game, so I find it pretty hard to believe that you are ignorant of its occurrence.

I haven't the faintest idea

as to what you are talking about.

Does that even make sense?

I don’t think it does.

Where am I?

Hey Twist,

I love the way you guys are doing an impromptu “open thread” every night now. Seems like it’s your Life Blood. You must have it. You must have the open thread!

it’s kind of creepy, and yet when he’s sick, i enjoy him infinitely more. mike, did you put a curse on his throat for ranking us 17th?

Anyone watching Jodie Meeks vs

Vanderbilt? I swear, UK is the ultimate one (previously 2 now that Pattey is out) dimensional team

Also

Seton Hall and Marquette are developing sort of an underrated rivalry. Not rivalry in terms of competitiveness (the Pirates haven’t won a game in the series since MU came to the Big East) but rivalry in terms of near riots breaking out in the middle of their games.

commentators said SEC gets 5 in the NCAA

I just dont see 5 NCAA caliber teams in the SEC

by twistedwedge on Feb 17, 2009 10:44 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

they say lsu, florida, uk, tennessee and south carolina

and there is no way all of them are making it. mark it down. i think south carolina is going to be the odd team out, even though downey is awesome. 1 sec team makes it to the second round, none make the sweet 16

That picture would be so much better if it was grammatically correct.
