Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

C.L. Brown:

Pitino, speaking this afternoon at his media conference, said Delk sprained his ankle during yesterday's practice. Delk made his first start Sunday against DePaul and scored 10 points on 4-for-4 shooting.

"I called him Billy Ray Cyrus, he's a one-hit wonder," Pitino joked.

Delk started in front of Williams, who has been hampered by a sprained right wrist the past three games. Williams did not attempt a shot against DePaul because of his injury, but was back shooting yesterday in practice.

"I think he's 100 percent or very close to it," Pitino said.

Should the mood strike you, the full Pitino press conference is available on demand at the bottom of the story.

Haha Pitino's got jokes

Anyway, I like Delk more and more, good kid. Glad to have T-Will back though.

Hope we don’t need Delk while he’s out, he’s a much better bench player than Swop. If T-Will needs a rest I say we go with a Earl/TJ/Samuels front court.

agreed

I really wish we had Delk to back up TWill…but if he is close to 100% I think we will be ok..
