Yes, I would say that looks good.

But we’ve still got a tough road ahead of us.

Is there any word on T-Will’s wrist injury? We were lost on offense last game with him unable to shoot.

I was going to post something similar.

Because of the head-to-head tie-breaker, we are effectively 2 games behind UConn, so winning the first seed in the BET isn’t likely, but for the same reason we are effectively 2 games above Pitt and 1 game above Marquette (hoping to beat them and increase our lead). Most important, however, is getting in the top 4 for the byes at the BET, and we are effectively 3 games ahead of Nova for that final spot and no one else is close. We are close to controlling our own destiny, and because there is no tie-breaker for the Big East Championship (the league awards co-championships), we are even in control of our own destiny with respect to winning the regular season title. There’s a hard road to hoe, but we couldn’t have anticipated being in any better shape at this point.

Since we both have one loss

we actually are tied with UConn. Since they hold the tie-breaker that would only put them one game ahead of us, effectively. So if they were to lose another game, we’d be in first by ourselves.

I can't wait..

for Pitt, UConn and Marquette to start playing each other over the next couple weeks.

A big east championship would be awesome, but we really need to make sure we stay in that top 4 for a double bye in the BET.

Can't get past thinking about Notre Dame.

Notre Dame may be VERY desperate this week. I can’t yet get past thinking about having to play them there. I’m sure I’ll think BE Tournament at some point, but yeesh… it looks FAR down that road right now…

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
