Jurich said he has not talked money with Strong and the school is "working through an offer."

"I expect him to be our next head coach," Jurich said. "He wants to be our coach. But I don't want to jump the gun. We don't have an agreement until a deal is signed."

a gator to watch the big east for the first time ever

i have never enjoyed big east football. i’m a gator. probably an elitist if you will. and yet i sit here expecting to watch big east football a couple times next fall. i think i speak for a good part of gator nation when i say we envy you a little bit(not all that much, but still, a bit), for charlie strong gives you hope. the reality is, he wil certainly improve the plight of louisville football. i imagine the caliber of player will be better. i imagine the team will be infinitely better. and win many many ball games. louisville is a program that has potential. and most of all, let me say this, as a gator, one thing that was always enjoyable was watching florida play defense. the safeties are a joy to watch. it’s actually truly enjoyable to watch. so celebrate tonight louisville. we of gator nation promise you one thing—charlie strong is the anti-ron zook. we tried to warn illinois. we have nothing to warn you guys about.

well

I think I speak for all of us. I enjoy Big East football. I also enjoy SEC football. Guess I’m not an elitist. However, I am very much looking forward now to something better than what was. A new man at the helm. The last 3 years a distant memory. Hope he’s the leader you portray.

Go Cards!

I love UL football and UF football (grew up a Gator)...

but I’m glad Strong is coming to helping our Cards. We need the help much more than that Gators, I’m sure Meyer will replace him with someone just as good.

I'm stoked.

I only wish we would have got him 3 years ago instead of the other guy.

According to Howie on LSR
The deal is done. Charlie confirmed it this morning.

Has anyone else noticed how jacked Charlie Strong is?

That’s gotta translate to the play on the field….somehow…someway

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
