He was "Never Nervous Pervis" at Louisville and it’s no surprise: the Cardinals won the national championship in 1986, his freshman year, and Ellison won the Most Outstanding Player award. Only three freshmen have ever done it. Unfortunately being the No. 1 overall pick in 1989 was the high point of his injury-plagued professional career. Today he lives in Voorhees, New Jersey and coaches a Philly AAU team.
