Tim Patterson – the top rated prospect in the city – is waiting to see what louisville does with their coach before committing. Guarantee if we get strong, Patterson comes to louisville. He’s supposed to be a stud linebacker
Yes.
It very much is. You can’t say you don’t want a coach because his defense (which is number 1 in the nation) is having a hard time with the number 2 team in the nation.
Irrelevant Introductory Post
I once at a gaggle of ants, I realize that gaggle is a term generally reserved for geese, but you get the idea. They taste of artificial banana flavoring. I feel I just stopped the bulk of you from eating them of curiousity and therefore am owed homage. Pay me the homage.

huh
why am i watching a 30point game? yes we want charlie strong are u crazy?
by Cambroni Cardinals on Dec 5, 2009 7:09 PM EST via mobile reply actions
I, personally
would do unspeakable things to bring Charlie Strong in. I’m curious though throughout the ordeal where we abandoned pursuit of Tuberville or Fulmer? No knock against Strong whatsoever, but those guys have proven themselves at the head coaching position.
by whats_a_kragglestick_car on Dec 5, 2009 7:11 PM EST reply actions
Don't think we abandoned pursuit
I think Strong is the number one candidate and it doesn’t make sense to move onto no. 2 or 3 before you miss out on no. 1.
I'm insinuating that I'm unsure what qualifies Strong as a better candidate than a guy like Tuberville.
The dude won a national championship and coached an undefeated SEC team, not to mention has sent countless guys into the draft on both sides of the ball. Strong coordinates a solid defense on a juggernaut team and operates in the shadow of Urban Meyer. Just saying, Charlie Strong as an overall body of work has bupkis at the head coaching position. Head coaching is as close to coordinating as Louisville is to Tulsa.

Anyone have a link to where I can watch the game on the net?
by OhMyHesOnFire on Dec 5, 2009 7:18 PM EST reply actions
Loots?
Why did I think it was pronounced like putz? We’ve been playing these guys since I was 4.

not having
Jerry, preston and siva hurts.
But we still have a ways to go.
by CardsFan922 on Dec 5, 2009 7:24 PM EST via mobile reply actions
indeed
how many chances does that guy need around the rim?
by BostonCardFan on Dec 5, 2009 7:25 PM EST up reply actions
Lol. Up and down possession..
First Marra with better interior D than our starting center, then a good offensive rebound by Samardo, and the reversion to form with the missed layup. I can’t wait until february, when we’re finally playing well.
I don't know, man.
I’m starting to worry. I just don’t see as much upside with this team as I did with last year’s. I’m starting to worry that this is going to be an 06 team.
time to make a little run...
pull it to 5 by halftime
by BostonCardFan on Dec 5, 2009 7:28 PM EST up reply actions
It would be more than eleven
to John Wall & company. That game is less than a month away, and our team looks years away from being competitive on an elite level.
by whats_a_kragglestick_car on Dec 5, 2009 7:28 PM EST up reply actions
true
but I gotta hope that jerry, preston, and siva will be playing by then
by BostonCardFan on Dec 5, 2009 7:29 PM EST up reply actions
Does anybody remember how happy we all were to be bringing in Samuels?
Cause I’m forgetting very quickly.
I still love the kid
He’s a hard case, because what’s causing this is the pressure he’s putting on himself to do well, not lack of effort. He’s just not living up to his own standards and he’s letting it get to him.
This is brutal.
Just brutal. We’re getting Lutz’d again.

anyone else watching on the link having an issue with audio hick-ups?

on that last possesion
TOO MANY OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS

one bright spot is our press
the points will come

Shamari Spears moonlights as a bounty hunter
That’s a scary looking dude
we gotta lot of inexperienced players
playing big minutes/new roles tonight.
but if we can pull it into single digits by halftime, i’ll feel OK.
RP halftime adjustments, baby.
This team is giving me flashbacks to 05-06.
And I didn’t expect that this far into the Pitino era.
dude
i look on the floor and see us down 13 with kuric and brinkley trying to bring us back. we are done

that you gotta stop the ballhandler!

by Cambroni Cardinals on Dec 5, 2009 7:43 PM EST reply actions
indeed
major confusion on our defensive assignments.
by BostonCardFan on Dec 5, 2009 7:45 PM EST up reply actions
we actually had that last 3 covered
then TWO guys rotated down low. oops.
by BostonCardFan on Dec 5, 2009 7:45 PM EST up reply actions
Yeah w/o Samardo or Jennings providing inside game
We’re pretty guard oriented. That’s not working out so well right now.
when?
is samuels going to impress me? it still has never happened. our lineup is delk, swop, brick, kuric, and samuels in and out all night. how can we win with this????
by Cambroni Cardinals on Dec 5, 2009 7:46 PM EST reply actions
So...
…Kuric, Brickley, delk, swop and goode is a lineup you’d expect to see in december…at the end of a game we’re winning by 30.
I like to stay positive but Swop is not ready to play the 4 in the big east. is it too early to start complaining about tj and ss not playing together?
by CardsFan922 on Dec 5, 2009 7:47 PM EST via mobile reply actions
We are getting
the Karen Sypher treatment.
by whats_a_kragglestick_car on Dec 5, 2009 7:50 PM EST reply actions
meaning that Charlotte is having consensual sex with us in a public locale and afterwards dragging our good name through the mud, throwing out rape allegations, and trying to extort us for millions. My figurative butthole hurts.
by whats_a_kragglestick_car on Dec 5, 2009 7:51 PM EST up reply actions
Fuck.
I don’t think I need to point out the irony of possibly losing to Charlotte at home the same day UK beats UNC. What the hell has happened since the Arizona Sweet 16 game? Fuck.
We looked NIT bound that first half.
God, typing that seared my cerebellum..

are going to be key,we have to get something going
i swear
every game that’s on a channel i don’t have is a loss
by Get_In_My_BELLY_ on Dec 5, 2009 8:18 PM EST reply actions
No.
Just started. I figure it’ll give us the push we need to just forfeit this joke.
by whats_a_kragglestick_car on Dec 5, 2009 8:20 PM EST up reply actions
The press is useless without our more athletic guards. I realize we’re down, but I think they’d find themselves out of place a lot less if Rick let them run zone. But then this team will drop shots on us. We’re fucked.
by whats_a_kragglestick_car on Dec 5, 2009 8:19 PM EST reply actions
Louisville without Preston, Smith, and Siva
is like the Justice League without Superman, Batman, and the Flash
I don't think it's a coincidence..
.. that my balls hurt and we’re playing this poorly.

Anyone got a place I can crash for the next couple weeks?
by whats_a_kragglestick_car on Dec 5, 2009 8:29 PM EST reply actions
our guys are running around clueless and out of control
and i don’t see things changing in this one

What is Lutz's record in Freedom Hall?
Only invite Charlotte for non-public exhibitions. Fuck.
Jerry Missed the memo
Argyle Wednesday was Wednesday, not today.

maybe
but it still takes us two lay-ups to get it in the bucket

It is
when you can’t get rebounds that are right over your head.

and now back to 18
i fully blame swop for screwing up the run

by Chris Redman is my hero on Dec 5, 2009 8:44 PM EST reply actions
i wish we could at least make this one somewhat close
i’m sick of these early losses, they simply piss me off
by Get_In_My_BELLY_ on Dec 5, 2009 8:45 PM EST reply actions
I bet the final score is around 8
WE’ll get a bunch of trash buckets near the end

We have a long way to go
Butt whipping may be coming in Lexington. Why do we always have so many injuries?
Samuels airballs 6 footer
not focused

I know, but its the only game I could think of where we got completely outplayed
and it was only a 15 pt loss because of T-Will
outshot, outrebounded, outhustled
is there any category in which they are not mopping up the floor with us?
Edgar
Get that rebound! That round thing bouncing toward you while your standing still? That’s called a BASKETBALL!!!
I know it's early and all that,
but this team looks like one that may struggle to make the tournament. Honestly, a mobile and hostile presence in the middle turns us to jelly. This is an embarrassment.
theoldman
I don't think I've ever seen a team less ready to play.
This is just humiliating. I won’t be able to face a UK fan for a while.

I wondered this as well.
Anyone have any insider info? Buckles, to me, seemed to be playing pretty good ball the past few games.
-Dustin
So this should help...
The only team in the big east with less wins is rutgers. And only because they’ve played one
less game.
This sucks.

funny
we do live in a microwave society, if pitino lands Teague, Blackshear, and Shaw we will be calling him a genius.
