Thoughts
--I'm guessing Lefors over Brohm is what stands out the most, but it's just this man's opinion.
--That first team D-line is legit.
--Louisville had three tremendous safeties this decade and then there's an enormous drop-off. With all due respect to Jon Russell, he was certainly not one of the 24 best Cardinals this decade, but there simply wasn't anywhere else to go.
--Poor Broderick Clark. He has a solid argument for making both the second team offense and the special teams unit.
--Feel free to argue below.

Definitely agree with Lefors over Brohm. The only thing I could nitpick and argue about is Lamar Myles making the first team.

Johnny U didn’t really do much in his career until he played for Baltimore in the NFL…his success there is the reason why he has so much named after him here
Unitas said....
…the reason he had such a quick release in the NFL is because he learned it behind his woeful offensive line here.
just a thought.....
Parker and Jackson better than Trent Guy on special teams?
-enjoyed this post Mike.

Yes
Zek and Arnold were better at their craft…but played 75% of their careers in the 90s.

Branch should be on the 1st team instead of Jackson. Branch dominated his last year and made Ragone look a little better than he was. Ragone struggled without him in his senior year. Jackson was great but clearly Branch was better.
So glad others agree that LeFors trumps Brohm
It still angers me that Petrino forced LeFors to split time with Brohm his senior season.
Lefors was a great team leader
I still remember after throwing an interception in OT against USF, Lefors rans 80 yards to tackle the defend and give the UL defense a chance to hold the Bulls. Ultimately, USF would kick a FG to win in OT, but I will always remember that hustle play.
Should Dean Branch be 1st team ahead of Arnold Jackson? Or is Deaon’s success in the pro’s biasing my memory of his UL days. I think he was a JUCO and only played two years for the Cards, but it seems that Ragone found him often and desperately missed having him to throw to the following season.
Why?
He was our best cover corner for four straight years. About the only knock on him for years was that he didn’t come up with as many INT’s as he could have.

Let me first say that I am a huge Lefors fan,
and for my money there isn’t a better story at QB, a more fun player to watch, and nobody had as much heart or determination. Now, that all being said, if I had to pick a QB to start my team with, and a backup, I wouldn’t take Lefors for either. Redman and Ragone (minus Ragone’s senior year, which lets face it was more an issue with the offensive line than with him) would be taken before Lefors. Just one man’s opinion though…
PS…Where’s Tinch?

Did you know Lefors entire family aside from him is deaf.
But seriously, I think Lefors was my favorite, but Brohm was more talented (also had better people around him, which I’m sure helped). Really, UofL has been a great place for QBs for a long time. How many UofL QBs have appeared on NFL rosters at one point in their post NCAA careers? And it wasn’t like we had a continuation of coaching that whole time either (Schnelly to Cooper to John L., to Petrino)
I can't believe Redman is still playing in the NFL
much less throwing 300 yards against a Saints team that destroyed New England the other day.

terrific idea to come up with a team of the decade
Of course the coach of the decade is Kragthorpe. Not!
LMAO
Coach of the decade would have to go to Petrino, he was a monster here.

DeWayne White
was much better than Earl. DeWayne was a sack machine back in the day, and he’s still playing in the NFL. Was Earl even drafted?
