Kragthorpe quote re: will stein

"(Stein) didn't lose the game; he played his little tail off all day long"

He "played his little tail off"?! Wow Steve, you really know how to strike fear into the heart of an opponent. I didn't realize Will Stein was 6. Thanks for reducing our team to pee-wee league status. Did you take everyone to chuck-e-cheese after the game too?

Having a set of man balls should be a requirement for a college head coach.  This is ridiculous.

More importantly, you must be able to win

The Krag Era in the Big East.

4 wins & 14 losses. In the 18 Big East games the Cards have been outscored 603 to 375.

2007, 3 – 4, Cards 193 – Opponents 231
2008, 1 – 6, Cards 128 – Opponents 241
2009, 0 – 4, Cards 54 – Opponents 131

Take out the 2007 season when K had the benefit of all those returning starters from the Orange Bowl team and you get this….

Record = 1 – 10, Cards 182 (16.5 ppg), Opponents 382 (34.7 ppg). We have been outscored by 200 points in our last 11 conference games. And we are expanding our stadium!

As a comparison…..
2006, 6 – 1, Cards 247 – Opponents 141

I guess this is the type of improvement that AD Jurich is looking for.

Fret not, fellow Card fans

Krag is outta here after this year. No, this isn’t coming from a “very good source.” It’s common sense and spectatorship. The writing is all over the place. Another bowless season, subpar recruiting, and a half empty stadium. No way this guy is coming back next year.

Jurich is saying what he has to say at this point to keep the program integrity intact. You can’t respond to rumors and say “Yep, that’s right. This guy is outta here after this season.” As much as that would be justified in the hearts of all us fans, it would look pretty damn distasteful to the rest of the nation. We want a great coach to come in a replace this buster, don’t we?

Change is coming. Write this year off. It’s done. No sense in grieving over it and hoping for one last run at a bowl. Ain’t gonna happen. Look ahead to next season. The Krag era is almost over.
