"unrelieved bestiary of offensive incompetence"?

Maybe in the 19th century
being overly verbose made you look cool, a hit with the ladies, whatever.
Now it just makes you look like a humongous toolbox.
Just sayin’

What's hilarious is that he says he speaks this way too-- well....
I’ve sat next to Tom in press row. And he doesn’t talk that way at all.
He’s been called on this ridiculous over- verbosity since he started…and he still does it!
And gets in arguments with his fans.
I just don’t read it…it’s drivel to me, and he makes few decent points.

This guy is clearly an amateur, and a very poor one.
I’m sure he knows what those words mean, as do I. But many people don’t, and a true journalist understands that you’re supposed to write at the 6th-9th grade level so that everyone can understand.
That’s what separates journalism from literature. Great writers are equally adept at both, and understand the separation. This guy needs to go back to college. But I guess that’s why he’s a “fan-blogger” and not an actual employee.
