Mr. Rutherford..
I don’t know if you’ve heard anything, but a few different sources at the game told me that Charlie Strong will be the next coach at the University of Louisville. If they are correct, wow that would be a great hire. First time head coach salary, amazing results in the toughest league in college; could be the home run we needed four years ago.
Charlie Strong would be a good hire
He’s definitely a dynamic personality. Hopefully he brings a good offensive coordinator with him, preferably someone who is familiar with and can install whatever you call the offense Urban Meyer runs.
As I've previously stated...
Over the past season or two, every time a head coaching position opens up, one of the first names I think of is Charlie Strong. In spite of the numerous openings, he is still the DC at Florida, and that’s what scares me about him. I feel that if he’s as good a head coach as one would expect based on his results at UF, he’d have gotten a head coaching job a long time ago. I’m not saying he won’t be a great head coach, all I’m saying is that it gives me an uneasy feeling thinking that he’s been there for so long without SOMEONE giving him a shot as head coach. Just my thoughts.

The rumors I've heard about Strong...
Say that he has been offered numerous jobs, but he’s turned them down because it’s not the situation he is looking for.

about the fact youre a fence rider…no offense. I just could never do it. I guess youre a true Card Football fan, all things considered…but theres no damn way Id ever have one iota of a “go cats” mentality in my mind, ever…
to each his own.
I hate UK…just thought Id throw it out there.

Obviously was a fair weather fan from the 90s.
Cards football with Cats basketball just screams “I rooted for the winning team in the 90s.”
I also am not a fan of it, but I’m certainly not going to shut anyone out as long as they don’t cause trouble here.
Assuming Syracuse loses out
Do we finish last in the Big East? Or are we tied for 7th?
A 7th place finish could be our parting moral victory from Krag
Going by the logic that if Pitt loses to WVU and beats Cincy they are the champs,
we should be 7th if Syracuse loses to UConn. If UConn loses, then we should be last.
What's the over/under...
On how long until the riots start if it’s announced Krag will be back?
I will not riot.
But when I receive my season tickets for next year I will run them through my shredder. I will then mail the result to Mr. Jurich, signed receipt requested, with a note that if Kragthorpe is back for year five instead of renewing my tickets and shredding them I will not renew.
I've been surprised before
But I just can’t fathom Krag brought back next year.
Looking at all the variables it just doesn’t make a lick of sense for the program. Smart money says he’s out.

How much longer...
Until the announcement?
I was seriously expecting it to happen today.
How much longer until you actually start to worry he’ll be back? Monday? The end of the regular season throughout college football? Christmas?
