For how much shit the football season has provided Krag wise,

one still has to feel for the seniors ending their college careers on a Friday morning in a half full PJS. It’s not totally their fault for this season.

Talk about perserverance, Trent is and will always be one of my favorite cards.

Feels like Trent is venting on a few dejected Cards fans who have spilled their guts about being so miserable over the past 3 years.

But who could blame him? There have been some pretty vile things said.

Thanks to Trent and all the other seniors who have given it their all. It’s not your fault the guy who recruited you bailed on his word and Mr. Magoo was jockeyed in as a sorry replacement and sent this program on a downward spiral straight to hell.

I wish you guys the best.

Happy holidays.

I blame Krag 100%, not the players.

I’m out there every game to support the players. It’s going to be sad seeing the senior leave either way.

1 point of contention

This has always bothered me, but you said it here. Some blame is on the coach, but some blame has to go on the players since they are the ones who actually determine who wins and loses. The coach is at fault for recruiting the players and not coming up with the best game plan, but the players are to blame for not executing and winning.

by cardscott5 on Nov 26, 2009 2:41 AM EST up reply actions

Not exactly... U put an excellent coach with this team and it goes 7-5 this yr

If you look much at the turnarounds that some coaches do each yr when they take a program
and you begin to realize how important really good coaching is.

These players have been cheated on this key pt.

Amen

The diff between Petrino’s practices and Kragthorpe’s is the difference between ice cream and shit. Probably as many as 40% more repetitions during a Petrino practice as a Kragthorpe practice. Speed and urgency were significant at Petrino’s while there is much wasted time and standing around at Kragthorpe’s.

You play like you practice and Kragthorpe’s practices probably cost this team three wins this year.

Adding to their points.

I felt like this team was much more talented than what their record shows (not orange bowl talented of course, but at least 7 or 8 wins). I feel like the coaching put the team in alot of bad situations which in turn made the players look like they could not perform well. That being said, the players are at fault for somethings that have happened, but majority is with coaching IMO.

It's a shame...

it had to end like this for them.

I love Trent...

But holy shit, you think after getting a free college education for the last 5 years, the man could spell “truly.” Goes to show how pathetic the title “student-athlete” really is.

by Doctor Derek on Nov 26, 2009 12:05 AM EST reply actions

Judge much?

I don’t know how long you’ve been out of college, but my English profs don’t teach how to spell, they teach literature and composition. Spelling comes in elementary school and Trent may not have been blessed with a great one. Most computers not only have spell check, and would automatically change it from “truley” to “truly.” There are brilliant people that can’t spell well. I’m not saying he’s a great student, but he misspelled a word on twitter, you can’t use that to make a judgment on all college athletes.

by Dais on Nov 26, 2009 10:45 AM EST up reply actions

Athletes on Twitter are offensively bad at spelling and grammar.

and I’d be lying if I didn’t shake my head while reading some of their tweets. But as others mentioned, spelling is a primary school issue, not college.

If you’ve ever listened to an NCAA football coach who has recruited in the South especially, you would be amazed at some of the stories of the situations and living conditions where these kids come from.

Honestly

Most of my friends on Twitter/anywhere are offensively bad at spelling and grammar.

Maybe....

it was Mike who really misspelled it? LOL

by thecraphead on Nov 26, 2009 10:27 AM EST reply actions

That was just a terrible occurence right there.

Freaking iPhone keyboard got the better of me.

Anyway, he will be missed. I wish he had had a better junior and senior season to be proud of. Not him personally, obviously, but the team.
