Vic Anderson to have shoulder surgery
2010 is going to be better, my man.
"He’s got a shoulder separation; it just hasn’t come around like we thought it would have," U of L coach Steve Kragthorpe said on the Big East teleconference Monday.
Anderson missed the Arkansas State and West Virginia games completely before making a brief return against Syracuse. He carried the ball three times for minus-7 yards against the Orange. He dressed out against South Florida on Saturday, but did not play.
"Had we been able to qualify for a bowl game by winning last week and winning again this week, he might have been able to play in that," Kragthorpe said. "But since we’re not going to be able to do that, we’ll just get him ready for spring ball because I want to have him available in spring practice and by doing the surgery tomorrow he’ll be closer to that."

"I want to have him available in spring practice"
I hope that that quote is attributed to Tom Jurich, because there is no way Kragthorpe will be coaching him in spring ball.
