I'm surprised the 2009 conf. championship game lost by such a substantial margin
I thought it would be closer

I'm not...
…based on the fact that Egotistical Darius Washington had karma bite him in the ass. It was even greater that it was against our rival Memphis and Coach Calipari.

Seeding predictions?
2 – WVU Football, 2006
3 – FSU Football, 2004
5 – Wake Forest, 2006 (Orange Bowl)
12 – Pitt, 2009 (ranked #1)
14 – Marquette, 2007 (Jerry heroics)
15 – Georgetown, 2008 (top 6 – first white out – Pitino in a white suit – College Gameday)
I feel pretty good about the first two, but there are a lot of good basketball games and it’s tough to differentiate them. I noted that Mike tends to be favoring last second heroics over blowouts of great teams, but I don’t think either of the other 2 Marquette games should outrank Reece’s game winner.
I am pretty confident that we’ll end up with a WVU showdown in the championship game.
Top 10 basketball left out chronologically:
1. Arizona, 2009. I love me some blow outs at tournament time.
2. at WVU, 2009. Winning the Big East on college gameday
3. Villanova, 2009 (BET). Incredible game, and we outscored a Final Four team by 19 (?) in the second half. Best half of an incredible season.
4. Tennessee, 2008. Loved hammering the SEC’s best.
5. Oklahoma, 2008. Everything went right.
6. Stanford, 2007. We seem to have
7. WVU, 2007 (BET). Sosa’s game-tying drive and OT in the Garden. Had we fared better the next game and had we not surrendered like 17 straight points, this would make my top 16 list.
8. at Pitt, 2007. Blowing out a top 5 team on the road when we needed it most.
9. 2005, Washington. First Sweet 16 win for Pitino at UofL.
10. 2005, Georgia Tech. Amazing performance.
11. 2005, Marquette. Garcia made it great, but the game sucked up until that moment.
12. 2004, UC. Top 20 ranked teams, and we blow them out.
13. 2003, Indiana. Amazing comeback.
14. 2003, Kentucky. Marvin Stone makes UK pay. Very satisfying.
15. 2002, UC. We sucked, but we beat a top 5 ranked team.
16. 2000, UNC. Terrible season, but this and Syracuse wins we were hitting on all cylinders.
I think it would be tough for any other football games to make the list with the possible exception of the USM blowout in 2001 or maybe 2004 at Memphis (for the excitement more than the execution).
