Amusing quotes from Tom Jurich
"Our fans are so new at this, they thought we'd be going to the Orange Bowl every week, but it's not like that."
-Tom Jurich
Are you kidding? What Card fan thinks that?
A St. Petersburg Bowl would be awesome at this point!
And this one...
"Everybody knows out there what kind of coach (Krag) is. I think the only place that doesn't is Louisville, Ky."
-Tom Jurich
Um.....................
I don't think there's one person out there who isn't aware of the national consensus, both in and outside of Louisville. Krag sucks. He's not a big time coach. Apparently, the only person unaware of it was Jurich.
Smart money says he's changed his mind by now.

Probably has
These quotes are from last season (or off-season) sometime, aren’t they?
Yes
I ran upon them last night and thought to myself just how desperately Jurich was hoping he was right about Krag. Sadly, it just isn’t the case.
Our fans had a right to believe our program was on the rise and capable of another BCS bowl with the returning team Krag inherited. And was Krag not hired to continue to take this program where it wanted to go (to national prominence)? Brian Brohm said himself the reason he was coming back was because “there are still some things we can accomplish at the University of Louisville.” Obviously he meant a national championship. Jurich is nuts if he thinks the fans shouldn’t have been surprised about that season being a bust. I don’t think any rational fan expected a BCS bowl every season. But, for a team returning some 54 Orange Bowl lettermen and a Heisman Trophy candidate — Jurich knows better than to chastise the fans over the hope of the program reaching an elite level as it was once primed to do.

Jurich got burned
by Petrino, who he apparently never forgave for the strange goings on with Auburn a few years before. I’m convinced Jurich let his ego get in the way of the best interests of the University by jumping the shark and hiring his “buddy” K instead of doing what big time programs do – conducting a well thought-out national search for someone with name recognition and real PROVEN skills as a head coach. Louisville had the money to shop for a big name. I think Jurich wanted someone who wouldn’t “embarrass” him like Petrino did. Well, it backfired. K has embarrassed and stained Jurich’s reputation far worse than anything Petrino ever did. I hope TJ learns from this experience.
