I still find it hard to hate Favre.

I mean, yeah, we got Favre’d there. And he really needs to retire. And he needs to quit stringing teams along year after year and all that jazz.

But at the same time, he’s just such a big kid and he just loves to play the game, that it’s hard to stay mad at him. Plus, I agree with Red Rage that his commercial is funny.

I still wish he would have just hung up the hat after Green Bay, though.

really? Favre needs to retire? C'mon guys...

I don’t understand people who want someone to quit Sport “X” after their team is ready to move on without them. He’s paid millions of dollars to play for the Jets and now the Vikings. So he should stop setting up his family for generations to come and stop giving numerous donations to charity, etc…just b/c we as fans think he’s past his prime. I will never get that.

I mean I get part of it—it’s an intersting topic, debatable perhaps and even Favre himself made some money out of it with that electronics commercial. But this stuff happens every day in every career field out there. I’m a Raiders fan and I don’t like or dislike him but I love listening to haters justify why he’s such a douchebag. Every coach in the league would love to have 50 Favres on their team. He loves the game and he’s still winning. Maybe its just me.

But I do hate Southern Miss Brett Favre—he should’ve left school early b/c that play is difficult to watch.

I was there, too

and I literally threw up the beer and hot dog I was enjoying seconds earlier. I had just purchased said partially digested items as I was preparing to settle into a long OT. I honestly do not remember how I got home that day. Such was the shock that this play instilled. I hate Favre. With every ounce of my being. Still.

however, that the following season was GLORIOUS! 10-1-1 and a Fiesta Bowl TROUNCING of The Crimson Tide. Ahh, so long ago and so far away from this sorry state of affairs.

I’m trying to decide if being Favre’d was worse than being Kragthorpe’d. Eh, toss up.
