That's not keeping quiet.

That’s giving me anxiety issues.

Perhaps Krag got a contract extension

Athletes should have someone else write their tweets so we can understand them.

Nice find Mike...

Why does CJ online not cover this stuff??? Instead of reporting on the USM game, why don’t they start reporting/blogging/providing opinion about what fans are interested in (i.e., the contents of this site and Krag news).

They do get paid to cover UL sports, right?

Why now?

Not saying the rumors are untrue, but the timing of this whole thing just doesn’t make sense. Why would TJ give his undying support for Krag this summer, say he needed two more years to rebuild, and then suddenly fire the guy after only one Big East game? TJ’s support of Krag was beyond mere AD-speak.

Couple o reasons

1) It is for the most part AD speak, attempting to keep recruiting and such from hitting a complete standstill til he was ready to pull the trigger.
2) I think TJ has known all year that this was going to be it for Krag, but I don’t think he thought it would be this bad so far. IMO it would have been better if we’d just looked completely out classed in the past 3 games, but unfortunatly for Krags in each game our talent levels have looked comparable. When talent looks comparable and you’re still losing all 3 of those games, it’s easy to derive coaching is the problem. Factor in the fact that the side of the ball he has complete control over looks like the most lost unit on the field, while conversely having the most talent on the team, it really expedites what i think was inevitable at the end of the year anyways.

It’s gotten so bad UL fans for the most part need a reason to show up now, and one way to do that is to go ahead and promise change. Plus the amount of complaining and bitching TJ hears from all corners these days must be deafening. I’d be ready to quit listening to all of that too.

TJ had to say what he said when he said it...see above post

When players on the other team say that our guys quit in the 2nd half of our first conference game…that’s pretty revealing. We could’ve avoided this replay had Krags stepped down after the Rutgers debacle last season when the players had obviously failed to buy into his “system”.

See I knew I’d enjoy this season…one way or another. I just penned ULIMHHS + TT FOREVER on my Lisa Frank folder.

But why not say...

“I am confident Kragthorpe is the man for the job and, like all of our athletic coaches, he will be evaluated after the season.” Instead, TJ really went out on a limb for this guy, saying four wins was enough to keep his job and that he needed at least another year to complete his “rebuilding”. I could possibly understand the firing after Krag started 0-3 in the Big East or something, but we’ve only played one conference game.

maybe Krag will announce at halftime that he's leaving the program

Stay classy John L Smith. Atleast we were in a bowl game back then.
