Nothing has been OK since the Michigan State game last March, so I'm not even thinking twice about doing this...

ADMM

Welcome back, you’ve been missed

by Luke Whitehead's Rap Career on Oct 28, 2009 7:01 PM EDT reply actions

Louisville is in the bonus with 15:34 to go

I think I’m going to pass out from boredom by halftime

by cardscott5 on Oct 28, 2009 7:18 PM EDT reply actions

Samuels is a strong man...

carrying this team on his back right now.

by Tryce on Oct 28, 2009 7:21 PM EDT reply actions

a shit ton of fouls

both teams are in the bonus. Samuels has all of our points

k thanks

I just had a major surgery. I need to feel good for once in a while. Thank god for cardinal Basketball. I was in the hospital watching cardinal football game and I could think about was at least I could die and have a heart attack in UofL Hospital. I’ll at least go out as a Card.

Wow...

My first time seeing Siva in live action. He’s lightning quick and looks to be super athletic.

by quiet cardinal on Oct 28, 2009 7:24 PM EDT reply actions

Samardo is good

especially when no one on the other team can guard him

by cardscott5 on Oct 28, 2009 7:36 PM EDT reply actions

Fouls...

Lots and lots of fouls. And no scoring.

Oh well, it’s basketball!

by CARD_G6 on Oct 28, 2009 7:41 PM EDT reply actions

You wanna make a bet

Louisville will lose a game early in the season. (They always Do)
Then they’ll win like 17 straight.

hasn’t that happened the last 3 seasons?

I know it's early

but the Swop-Delk combo is the biggest question mark on this team. They are going to make or break this season. And I don’t know how good they are, or if they are ready for prime time. Swop added muscle which is quite obvious. I like Kuric more than Delk. Marra is going to get minutes for sure.

by cardscott5 on Oct 28, 2009 7:42 PM EDT reply actions

Agree 110%

I think we see Buckles in the starting 5 by January and I like Kuric spending more time on the court than Delk…The Delk we have seen so far at UofL is nothing like the Delk that we saw at Mississippi State

These are the cards. Trust me they will heat up soon.

2nd half will be much better.
But I rather have this than football right now.

We are obviously a little rusty..

…but I like the talent we see on the floor, and we are really gonna be coming together over the next month

by Luke Whitehead's Rap Career on Oct 28, 2009 7:53 PM EDT reply actions

How about the play by play guy?

So much better than the last guy who sucked. Although they kind of sound the same

by cardscott5 on Oct 28, 2009 7:59 PM EDT reply actions

The team hasn't practiced passing yet. Or free throws

The team needs to wake up and take Georgetown seriously

by cardscott5 on Oct 28, 2009 8:02 PM EDT reply actions

We unfortunately still have no perimeter game

Outside shooting awful with little ball movement

Very sloppy and painfully weak stuff right now…

by frankpos on Oct 28, 2009 8:02 PM EDT reply actions

Georgetown is 2" shorter per man-- but quicker

Than us, which is obviously frustrating our offense flow

by frankpos on Oct 28, 2009 8:04 PM EDT reply actions

SiVa is looking sharpest of the guards

Also showing real aggressive D— very quick

Sosa’s hang dog face says " I’m not doing good"

by frankpos on Oct 28, 2009 8:07 PM EDT reply actions

Going to enjoy watching Siva

He’s made a couple freshman mistakes, but he’s one of the few playing fearlessly tonight. Also nice that he makes his freethrows.

by loverofthegame on Oct 28, 2009 8:08 PM EDT reply actions

Once he gets better on defense...

…could the combo of Siva & Preston in the backcourt be peskier than Mcgee & Preston

Watching Siva just now on D I can see possibilities

Too soon?

by Luke Whitehead's Rap Career on Oct 28, 2009 8:08 PM EDT reply actions

Siva looks like...

….he could be a very very good basketball player in his time here. Glad to see Edgar get some points…good sign.

by paulw on Oct 28, 2009 8:09 PM EDT reply actions

and that was only after a last second 3 by Sosa

Pitino said they’re really nervous and it shows. Lots of sloppy passing, dribbling, decision making, etc…it’s an exhibition game. No worries.

by UL is my hot hot sex on Oct 28, 2009 8:12 PM EDT reply actions

The nerves are very apparent.

Lots of shots are just off. Especially for a team that was shooting well over 50% in the red/white scrimmages.

I would expect not just the second half, but the Bellarmine exhibition to be much better.

by CARD_G6 on Oct 28, 2009 8:15 PM EDT reply actions

2nd Half Adjustments

Low Post scoring, defensive intensity, establish rythym on O

by UL is my hot hot sex on Oct 28, 2009 8:16 PM EDT reply actions

And 1 baby!

Has ‘mardo shown any midrange tonight? I didn’t get to see most of the 1st half..

by bartenpa on Oct 28, 2009 8:26 PM EDT reply actions

Dang

I hate that he can do that against smaller teams. I want him to use the game he’s going to need against Big East squads.

by bartenpa on Oct 28, 2009 8:29 PM EDT up reply actions

it's way early...

but i like what i see from buckles so far. he could be an x-factor type.

by quiet cardinal on Oct 28, 2009 8:37 PM EDT reply actions

There are my cards!

First time they’ve looked really good consecutive trips down the court

by paulw on Oct 28, 2009 8:38 PM EDT reply actions

Score/Time update

47 – 47; 12 minutes left in 2nd half

by UL is my hot hot sex on Oct 28, 2009 8:44 PM EDT reply actions

Preston played 3 min first half; Jerry 4 min

More energy and trapping D

Georgetown seems to have weathered it for the moment— with better ball movement and outside shooting

sitting on press row tonight— we have lost 1 exhibition game i’m last 26…

by frankpos on Oct 28, 2009 8:51 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

play by play guy:

“there’s kuric, who can jump”
WTF? That’s racist, bro.

by UL is my hot hot sex on Oct 28, 2009 8:52 PM EDT up reply actions

Nothing like

watching a game via CBS Gametracker. Silence with strange little men shooting the ball

Maddie in Portland, Oregon

by kentuckybred on Oct 28, 2009 8:52 PM EDT reply actions

when Kuric has multiple dunks...

aren’t we supposed to be up by 20+ …nice to see

by CaptainCrunchZone on Oct 28, 2009 8:57 PM EDT reply actions

Siva is going to be to watch over the next few years.

He’s the type of PG we never seem to get, but I love to watch.

by 83fan on Oct 28, 2009 8:59 PM EDT reply actions

Suva bringing the most energy and

Highlight moments right now…

Still no perimeter shooting, no rebounding though by the Cards…

by frankpos on Oct 28, 2009 9:00 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

In fact, Siva might challenge Smith for top bench cheerer this season.

Lots of fist pumping and chest thumping from the freshman (in a good way).

by 83fan on Oct 28, 2009 9:01 PM EDT reply actions

Georgetown wearing down a bit...

First slight lead at 5 thru Suva feed..

by frankpos on Oct 28, 2009 9:04 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

Siva looks out of control all the time..

..but he is in complete control (I think), either that or he operates better out of control

before Swop starts playing above the rim… like the progress I’m seeing though

Unfortunately, only thingthat looks better than last yr

Is Siva so far

badass behind back dribble in traffic assist to Swop. 67-59

Even though they've only practiced a few days...

This team seems to be more fluid than last year’s team. Last year neer seemed to have a consistent rhythm except for the Arizona game, my mid season I have relatively high expectations for these guys….. thoughts?

by CaptainCrunchZone on Oct 28, 2009 9:26 PM EDT reply actions

C seems about right

nothing too impressive, nothing too terrible.

by cardscott5 on Oct 28, 2009 9:31 PM EDT reply actions

im right with you…… I t hink this team may be young but they posses several attributes that last years team didnt. not to meantion the progress that sam sam, jennings, swop and the others will / have made.

I see a lot I like. I know people call me nuts but I have been saying since last season that this team could easily be as good as last years.

As far as the game is concerned the one thing that sticks out to me is Siva is freakin smokin fast……

by lvl1 on Oct 28, 2009 9:46 PM EDT reply actions

T-Will's shoes = not small

Plenty of talent on this team but who will be the go-to player in end-of-game situations?

When’s the last time Louisville had a true point guard that’s better at his position that 90% of the teams he’ll face? Certainly seems like a possibility with Siva.
