Couldn't agree more

In addition to the baby photos, I found a photo of Steve Kragthorpe as fifth grader. I think it gives full evidence to the situation we are in.

Total Failure

You think Krags has this page on top of his favorites?

http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/5914/illinois-ad-zook-to-return-in-2010

First time I shot her, shot her in the side.
Hard to watch her suffer, but with the second shot she died...

Zook's payout is astronomically high if I recall.

And Illinois is in no position to pay it right now. UofL has no such issues.

China Inn is where it's at!

Saw Swop at the China Inn over by 4th and Cardinal a few hours before the scrim. I must say he does look a lot sturdier than he did last year (not to mention the fact that he played better, too)

So let meget this straight.

Basketball scrimmage vs Georgetown College is Wednesday. As in, two days from now. And I can watch it.

Pants are off.

Here is the plan....

1- Offer the Gruden Brothers a package deal;

2- Jon here for 2 years with a 3rd year option; leaves for NFL with no penalty after
      period of 2-3 years.

3- Jay comes in as O-Co-Ord; stays as head coach after Jon leaves for continuity
and his offensive expertise continues using the fast paced arena QB style(Kurt
      Warner/St Louis/Arizona)

4- Bring back Mike Cassidy to run the defense (3 losses in two years… not bad good
guy who got railroaded by Krags)

5- Put emphasis in strength room back on big strong and explosive-bench, incline,
squat, deadlift and powerclean to be as big and strong as possible. Quit doing all
of this 20 lb military presses on a big rubber ball working th core it is a joke. If you
want a strong core do lots of medicine balls and abs. Lift for strength and power.
Football teams need to be big and strong. Doing the plyometrics and agilities on
the conditioning field are fine if you build all of your strength and power in the
strength room. Are we making aerobics instructors or football warriors????

6- Recruit only the top 10 Kentucky prospects and get everyone else from FL, GA, AL,
MS, LA, TN and TX. Schnellenberger, John L, and Petrino found countless
diamonds in the rough overlooked by everyone else. Talent abounds in the South.

7- No more of this one day off to be with your famlies if you are a coach. If you want to
be a family man sell insurance. Div 1 college football is 24/7/365 any less
commitment is balderdash. PREPARE TO WIN ; OUTWORK YOUR OPPONENTS!

8- Work with the discipline problem kids, show them and teach them commitment by
your own actions and the rules you hold them to. Don’t run off talent just because
they won’t be Pope someday, work with them and keep them on the field and help
them graduate to be the husbands and fathers their families will need them to be
      someday.

9- To Believe is to Be Strong-Preach the Dream-A National Championship!!!

Anyone here get banned from Howie land this weekend? I managed to get banned for the fourth time in two years. They’re waist deep in bull shit over there.

LSR is a fuggin joke

post up your opinion about krag=ban. On the other hand, UK fans are allowed to run rampant over there-and its not even supposed to be smack talk anymore (they removed that section). Id much rather be here, CE, or ITV

Pravda baby, Pravda

How did you like in last week’s “Good, Bad and Ugly” how everything wrong is the fault of the fans’ bitching.

I used to post on scout somewhat frequently but you can’t say hardly any thing over there anymore without somebody putting words in your mouth and labeling you in one way or another. I prefer this site for most of my sports intake.

This is the only site

that covers everything in perspective and has reasonable people commenting. Everything else (including Courier-Journal) is behind what this site does for UofL fans everywhere. Thanks again Mike.

This is the only u of l site I know

Where people don’t read half of half you say and jump down your throat. People seem to be reasonable to dissenting opinions, and make inteligent counterpoints. Except if you day pitino gets outcoached.

There are no more excuses

Coach K seems like a nice guy. He seems knowledgeable. He is just in over his head and that’s just it. He has had three years and that’s enough to get something in place. And excuses can’t work now. It’s his recruits, it’s his game plan, it’s his inability to motivate, it’s his inability to build depth during times of injuries or mutiny.

We might be Arkansas State and Syracuse is questionable. I feel bad for the kids and the fans who show up every home game. I doubt there will be more than 30,000 this weekend and I don’t blame anybody for having other interests that pull them away at this point. It’s one thing to lose, but (as I have said before) lose with dignity, heart, and passion.

There’s really nothing else to say at this point. We’ve all said it and it ain’t changing until November 27th.

This blog is going to be basketball heavy very early this year and I’m happy about that. Can’t tell you how excited I am about the exhibition game on Wednesday and I can’t even watch or listen to it.

Time for success

Awesome pics. I think Jurich’s silence is deafening.

I’m living in Big 12 country (Iowa State). Got any suggestions on how I might stream the local broadcast of UL’s basketball games?
Thanks

by pienso on Oct 26, 2009 8:55 PM EDT reply actions

WHAS radio

If the games are on WHAS you should be able to get them in streaming audio. If we are bumped to WKRD forget it as that station doesn’t have streaming feeds.

In that case try the opponent’s radio station. I listened to the UofL – UC football debacle on Cinti’s WLW.

by cbcard on Oct 27, 2009 8:55 AM EDT up reply actions

In the past, WHAS would send “alternative” programming on their live stream during basketball games. Probably a clause in the Nelligan contract. Does anyone know if this is still the case?
