Rivalry game against an opponent they've historically struggled against, friggin' keg of friggin' nails on the line; yeah, UC fans have their minds on one thing...

This is the YouTube equivalent of stomping on the bird, and I think we all remember what happened the last time Cincinnati stomped on the bird.

Quick thought: how depressed are you when you think about the fact that scoring 70 points didn't seem like that ridiculous an accomplishment just a few years ago? I'm going with Morrissey depressed.

This could lead to a regular series

Michigan is fair at best so that rivalry looks pretty dull these days. There’s nothing like an in-state rival to really talk about bragging rights. Can we get Brian Kelly calling out Tressel a la Denny to Joe B. Hall for a regular game? Maybe the state government needs to force the issue. Love it. Keep it up Bearcats. Love the logo too. Remember Cincy is a competitive large state school in a great urban area (like us).

Don't hate on UC

I love this promo, they deserve to rub it in. Can you imagine another school dogging UofL back in the day because UK was too scared to play? UC is doing everything right, and I’m thrilled that they’re in the Big East.

That said, beat the Bearcats!

I was just kind of talking about this post in general. The fact that the media there is paying so little attention to what was once a rival who dominated them makes a pretty large statement about where our program is.

I partially agree with you Mike, but we have never been considered on the same level as OSU. Historically, the UC and U of L programs have been pretty equal, so no inferiority complex there (20-18-1 Cards since ’66, if Wiki is to be believed). Besides, do you think that similar digs against us, even 3 years ago, would result in the national pub this is getting?

Of course, I’m in favor of spinning anything into something that might fire us up. Not that I think it will help, but whatever.

They’re right. Nothing mentioned in that video is actually wrong. And to be honest, the Big East is pretty close to the Big Ten in competition level in my opinion.
