Let's try this...
I'm sure most of us (at least 50%...well, at least 30%) have a lucky Louisville shirt that they wear for games. Mine is a Louisville sweatshirt that I got in 2002 before the basketball team played UC. I'm not all that superstitious, but I am when it comes to this damn sweatshirt. I've gone through periods of wearing it everyday during football and basketball seasons...to only wearing on gamedays...to not putting it on until right before kickoff/tipoff...I've done it all. And it only gets washed when the Cards lose - which makes it clean as a whip right now - kinda nasty at the end of last year's basketball season...
Consequently, I have a different Louisville sweatshirt that is the "anti-lucky" sweatshirt. It's as ugly as a Louisville shirt can possibly be and it's uncomfortable and I don't like it. I've only worn it a few times since I got it 2 years ago (got it for Christmas, so it was during basketball season) and Louisville lost the next game they played. I only wear it in the off season - and since it's a sweatshirt - gets very little wear. Until now....
What I propose is that everyone STOP wearing their lucky or usual Louisville gear during games and instead wear only their "anti-lucky" gear. Many of you might not have an "anti-lucky" shirt, so wear the shirt that has been stashed in your closet for years...the one that might be stained or too tight or dyed pink becuase it was so damn cheap that the color ran together and you refuse to wear a pink shirt....wear the f'in pink shirt.
I'm going old school and wearing my "anti-lucky" sweatshirt everyday this week leading up to the UC game. I am doing this in the name of the Cards hoping that my reversal of attire leads them to victory....join me...we've got nothing to lose...
Go Cards.

great idea...
…but so many of my shirts that used to be lucky during the petrino seasons seem to have become anti-luck during the past three seasons.
I don’t know which one to choose.
I may just go buy some UC gear and wear that in order to try to transfer some of our funk onto their bandwagon.

i've witnessed horrendous losses while wearing all of my cardinal gear
but ever since my mom former roommate sewed an Orange Bowl patch on my Brohm jersey, I can’t remember the last time we won when I was wearing it.

I have a shirt which I bought for $1 where the cards logo and name are horribly off-center. I’ll wear it for you hustle.

What sucks is
My sun tan city “Go Cards” t-shirt toss good luck charm I used in this past seasons basketball run has had kragpoop smelling it all up. Ive accidentally worn it twice this football season-I think it may be doomed, like our fearless leader….

ALL are bad luck now
Oddly… every bit of Louisville gear I own has turned into bad luck charms over the past 3 football seasons. I can’t explain it.

Maybe it actually still is lucky
Maybe what it is doing is rubbing off luck for the long run. This is a wild thought, but maybe having Kragthorpe lose is going to lead to us getting a great coach and have many many years of success. Maybe the three years of bad luck will lead to a long strech of good luck.
Just in case I’m wrong, I’m busting out my unlucky hat for Saturday. Ill be at the game, so wish me luck, I’ll need it.

UofL tie
I have a UofL tie my wife bought me that I wore for the first time on February 12, 2009…..the night we got destroyed by ND.
We don’t have any weeknight games this year so I will have to maybe pull it out on the day before the game – does that count? I need a ruling.

To clarify...
…after we lost I did not wear the tie again, even during the off-season. I’ve worn it once this fall and was hoping to wear it for an easy early season bball game to at least cancel out the luck. We’ll see.

I am wearing black
I am going Johny Cash, all black. Not my lucky black pullover I wore for the Florida State game, nor my special reserve black Orange Bowl shirt that I wore for our run in the Big East tourney. No logo. Just dressing in black for the funeral that has to come!

I spilled bleach on my black Louisville football shirt at halftime of the Kentucky game
that’s probably where the season went downhill. It’s all my fault.

Well then...
You need to wear that shirt tomorrow….unless that shirt is usually your lucky shirt…in that case, don’t wear it.
