Interesting question
Maybe you have some inside information that I don’t, but as best I can tell, Tom Jurich has no interest in replacing Rick Pitino until he retires. Now, Rick has stated before that he doesn’t want to be too old when he retires, and he’s 57 now. I’d say we have at least 3 more seasons with him, possibly 5, but no more than 10. After that, it’s hard to say. Many thought he was grooming his son to be the heir apparent, but then little Richard went to Florida. There might be time to bring him back before Rick retires, but that’s unlikely. Given the traditional success our basketball team has, I’d say that the coach that comes in will all ready be known and proven in the college game, although it is less likely that he will have a national championship under his belt like Rick did. Just my two cents.
