A real Hoot
…sorry, couldn’t help myself.
Has Sammy retained counsel? There must be an organization out there which specifically represents such birds who have not been given due process…a night flyer whose head could turn 320 degrees…who might have been discriminated against at some time in his or her life…maybe passed over in his job application in favor of a lion or a tiger or some other more mundane, more mainstream animal. Probably have a good acronym for it, too.

I like the graphic showing that sammy th owl was ejected
And also that the announcer has a mascot-oriented philosophy for life.

No way
the USF Bull would have exited as quietly as Sammy. Actually, I don’t know if any ref has the balls to even try to eject the bull. I wouldn’t.

I saw this exactly at the same time as it came on SportsCenter. Weird
They also showed a few other notorious mascots behaving badly in history, and it was pretty funny. Of note:

Also, I find it hilarious that the announcers totally ignored this “exciting” game to talk about Sammy the Owl getting ejected.

Isnt Shaw the one who
ejected one player from each team in the UC/St. Johns game? Is he going for a record # this year or something? Who is next, a fan from the stands?

He's done it
He also banned Sadat from doing handstands on the floor with the cheerleaders.

There's two ways to think about Curtis Shaw.
He’s either an incompetent moron who loves making himself the center of attention, or he’s a guy who likes numbers, if you know what I mean. Never has one official been at the heart of more controversial calls in the past half-dozen years or so, and never has one official been so consistently wrong. This guy shouldn’t be allowed to call high school games.
