The Louisville Cardinals are good at basketball

I think that about sums it up.

Good at basketball? Certainly!

not necessarily good at shooting the basketball.
loving the D, but a tourney run will require that we make things, like say, open layups.
and shooting better than 25% from 3-land could prove useful as well.

that aside, huge win.

too bad I had to pony up for the ESPN Full-court to watch it. totally worth it tho.

E5

This was a great win and it gives us some breathing room in the polls we didn’t have until today. Even if we were to lose to UConn next week, we would still be ranked in the top ten. This also puts us in a great position to earn a two seed. Fortunately, we have erased the stain of the December losses.

As for E5, he truely is the enigma. He has become the Twill of two years ago. For all of the great plays he makes, he makes some stupid, stupid turnovers. Thank goodness Pitino moved him out of the high post spot today. He was a turnover waiting to happen. E5 needs to concentrate on the offensive boards rather than look for that cross the lane shot. That shot is too difficult for him.

Great win..

….only got to watch the 2nd half, but it looked like a game we EASILY could have lost. But this team is mentally and physically very tough.

USF and WVU this week.

Then UCONN baby. If we manage to be 8-0 when UConn comes to town, ranked #2 (or possibly but not likely #1), I think that game will manage to be even louder and crazier than ND and Pitt. Especially since it is a Monday night game.

WVU may be tough, I’m still not sold on them despite their gaudy CPU ratings.

The biggest thing is that this team has LOTS of room for improvement on offense.

And who didn't believe we could do it?

Who doubted us? Who amongst us does not belong? Someone here does not belong, a stranger amongst the loyal I will weed you out.

YOU!

That was for Mike.

Suggesting that he might be in need of a trip to the Boo Box.

THE BOO BOX!

Ru-fi-ooooo!

I’m a f*ckin kid.

I Promise You One Thing. A Lot Of Good Will Come Outta This.
You Will Never See Anyone Type On The Message Boards As Much As I Will For The Rest of This Season .
You Will Never See Anyone Push and Root For His Team As Hard As I Will For The Rest of This Season.
And You Will Never See Another Team Fight Tougher and Harder Than Louisville Will In the Big East For The Rest of This Season.
God Bless.

Tyler's betting on games now

That’s going to keep him out of the Hall of Fame for sure.

Paul Rogers haunted my dreams last night

I listened to the game on the radio while I was working. With Edgar in gear, you guys are just too damn dangerous. Great win.

All the same, I kinda wish we’d meet again this season. Anybody for a little NCAA Regional Final action this year? (Not saying Kentucky should make it to the elite 8, but a boy can dream.)

Our defense and toughness

could carry us a long way in the tournament. This year’s defense reminds me of the Charlie Jones, McCray brothers years — along with Derek Smith, of course — when we just dared people to try to score. Toughest basketball team I ever saw wear the red, black and white, I believe. Altitude (in New Mexico) cost them a national title, I’m convinced. This year’s team has the same kind of mental and defensive toughness.

If we ever start making shots, my goodness, gather in the dogs and piss on the fire ‘cause there’s some wild times comin’.
