Latarrius Thomas Is Going To Eastern Michigan Without A Release
This is interesting. He'd rather sit out 2 years than play here. That sucks.
EDIT: Here's a snippet of the story.
Thomas could not be reached for comment Tuesday, but his adopted father, former New Smyrna Beach assistant Andy Cox, said that Thomas was already in Ypsilanti, Mich., enrolled in classes for the spring semester. Thomas chose Eastern Michigan, Cox said, because former Louisville defensive coordinator Ron English was named its head coach in December.
However, Cox said Louisville had not agreed to release Thomas from his scholarship.
"We're going to have a hearing about it, but if they don't let him out of it he could have to sit out two years," Cox said. "LT really liked (English) and wants to play for him."
As of now, Thomas is paying his own way at Eastern Michigan, but Cox said if they lose the appeal at Louisville, they will appeal to the NCAA.

I think that just means that LT will have to pay his own way next year, and then he’ll be on scholarship for the year after…

Let him go...
Let’s see if Kragthorpe has any class at all and releases the kid. Wait… what am I thinking??

Release Thomas
Thomas has no money to speak of and it’s just petty to keep him from attending the school of his choice. Louisville needs to release him. The fact Dorkthorpe is so concerned about a flood of transfers to EMU shows what a sorry ass coach he is. Jurich, do the right thing.

Mature or not, creative or not
“Dorkthorpe” is just about the funniest name of all-time.

Whatever you do, don't release him!
If Kragthorpe releases him, then everybody’s going to want to jump ship and get a release. Our entire defense would leave and go to that directional Michigan team. He could care less about class in this situation. It might not look like it sometimes, but he does want to win. Granting a release would just set the standard for the rest of the team.
Gotta be smart!

I agree
Don’t release him. He knew the rules when he left. Not allowing a slew of players to follow a coach is pretty standard, I’m sure. I’m sure that’s why the 2 year rule is in place by the NCAA.

Partial agreement...
Well… we have partial agreement. It certainly does NOT look like Kragthorpe wants to win. AND I agree that he doesn’t seem to care that he shows no class.

man up
Let him Go UL. I’ve been extremely non-critical of the UL football program the last 2 years, but this is garbage. Just let him go. If everyone else wants to leave to go there as well then fine, let them go to. That will only facilitate the quicker removal of Krags, which should make most people happy again.

I would just like to say
That having a link I posted in a Fanpost being upgraded to the front page is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. Thank you, Mike, for this honor.
Yes, I waited until it was almost off the page before I posted this, I didn’t want too many of you to see me cry.
