Yes

But I’d rather be here.

Dais

If you mean the current Hall, I’m with you…..I’ve got huge reservations about the spanking new, squeaky clean, and potentially sterile new place. Way too corporate. And the seating not STEEP enough. I sincerely hope that you can afford to go there. I just hope to get to the current Hall before it’s discarded.

Same with the new Yankee Stadium. Never thought I’d have to save up to go to a ballgame.

I mean the new arena

I think it looks awesome, but I really can’t tell about how good the seating is until I’m in there. That said, they just released what the seat “donations” will be and my section (the cheap ones) are actually less than they are in the hall. There’s even a section with no minimum seat donation, which is pretty sweet. Although, if you’re right, the seats will be so far away from the floor that they’re not worth much.

Hope

It works out for you in the new place, Dais. Guess I’m just paranoid about any change (paranoia being fear of “imagined AND real” fears, right?). I just don’t like it when a relative handful know what’s best for everybody else. Hell yes, I’m a reactionary.

Still, though, doesn’t that Palestra band box look sweet? Go long on a run out, Dais, I’ll hit you with a court length pass.

Big Five

That’s what it says in the “end zone” of the Palestra. And help me here, Frank, I think the “Big Five” were Villanova,
Temple, La Salle, St Joes, and Penn.

Before everyone went “conference crazy”, they played a round robin among one another each year.

Big Five

You are correct Roz, those are the big five schools. Being in PA, I get to see all those games on t.v., and definitely try not to miss them.

Thanks, Man

Where in PA? Nice win for McNab.
Good luck on Sunday, but it will be rough on the road in AZ.

About

15 minutes south of Hershey. The Eagles fans thank you for your support, but I can’t stand them since I’m a Redskins fan. With three of the four teams still alive being “local”(Baltimore), I really can’t wait each week for the Cards to play. It’s getting out of hand around here. Ha Ha.

Had An Army Buddy

Last name “Rock” (You can’t make this stuff up)…Sgt Rock, from Lancaster…great guy. Skins fan, huh? I loved that corner named D Green who went to Texas A&M and played for Washington for about 16 years…still the fastest man in the NFL when he retired. Liked Larry Brown in the old days, and way back, Sonny Jurgenson (even though he’s a Dukie).

I think the stars are aligned for the football Cards…the one’s from Phoenix…good weather…Warner will have his injured received back…and that wide out from University of Pitt is tremendous.

Anyway, as the best,
Roz

Yep

They still play every year.

Worst Place To Watch College Hoops on TV

—That gym at Vanderbilt…now that is weird…like we are playing a road game on the campus of a college on another civilized planet. The benches, not on the sides, but under the basket. Denny used to get beat there, too.
