Padgett and Dean
Are two of my all time favorite Cards (I’m too young to remember the great Cards of the 80’s), but they needed so much more help than they got that year. They both suffered through injuries and played hard, but just not enough to work with.

Is that the rim rattling?
After every stuff? Never noticed it before. Better get high def audio on my 1962 tube filled-steel encased Dumont very unportable TV. It’s got speakers the size of the Math building….after it warms up, you can cook hot dogs on it. I heard that Freedom’s rep was for not the tightest rims, but I never actually heard them echo before…oh, well.
This will be a nice win.

Bilas, Raftery and McDonough....
The best broadcasting team on the tube, in my humble opinion. And that’s in spite of Raftery’s annoying “mantaman” nonsense. Both he and Bilas really know the game and when somebody royally screws up, they mention that, too.

I Promise You One Thing. A Lot Of Good Will Come Outta From This.
You Will Never See Anyone Type On The Message Boards As Much As I Will For The Rest of This Season .
You Will Never See Anyone Push and Root For His Team As Hard As I Will For The Rest of This Season.
And You Will Never See Another Team Fight Tougher and Harder Than Louisville Will In the Big East For The Rest of This Season.
God Bless.

I'm Not So Anxious
I think we’ll win.
But Linda, when you get to Freedom Hall an hour early, what do you do? Watch batting practice? Make sure you can find your seats (even though they are season tickets and you’ve been there 400 times before)?
Have one last dry run on spelling out C-A-R-D-I-N-A-L-S?
Have fun tonight.

oh Roz.....
wish you could have been there – the Hall was rockin’ and our team played hot, in your face defense. I haven’t seen a game like that since Denny was coach. Didn’t make it an hour early but did get there in time to do a little chatting with the folks/fans around us and get our coats in the bag under the seat before tipoff……oh man. What a game. Go CARDS!
