Bill Miller leaving Louisville
Newly crowned U of L defensive coordinator Bill Miller announced today that he is leaving Louisville to become co-defensive coordinator at Kansas. He's making the move in part to be closer to his 85-year-old father.
"The timing of this is opportunity is very unfortunate," said Miller. "But its an opportunity for me to be closer to my 85-year old father and my brother. I truly appreciate the opportunity Steve gave me at Louisville, and am grateful of the treatment that Tom Jurich and Steve also gave me while I was here. I don't expect many people to understand my decision, but this is something I had to do for my family."
Louisville now begins the search for its fourth defensive coordinator in 14 months.
Try as you may football, you will not take my smile on this day.

While Miller was DC..
…we were tied for last in the NCAA in total defense.
Or tied for first I guess?
Either way, many of us will never forget Bill Miller’s run as DC.
Speaking of defense, did you see that Nova game though?

Fool
Suggesting Tom Jurich be fired makes you look like a total idiot. The U of L Athletic Association board is not about to do anything stupid.

Fire this loser!
Hey Jurich, if you wait any longer to fire this douche bag, you might end up having to coach our team. What the hell is it going to take fore you to shitcan this moron coach. Sorry for the language, Mike, but damnit. The rats are fleeing the ship faster than captain fix it can quote another cliche. Recruiting is going to suck dogballs.

Nord gone?
Posters on Baghdad Howie’s site claim Nord has been let go and will join his brother at Purdue. At this rate, the whole coaching staff, except the ass in charge, may turnover. Great hire, Tom. Great hire.

Nord leaving..
is not such a bad thing. Wasn’t he the guy that was going to keep all the local high school talent in a U of L uniform? Ask UK and Ohio State.

Defense are we talking defense
oh don’t let the other team score close to 50 points a game is not defense.O.k. who is going to be the next DC.i sure hope it’s not another Brohm family member.
Even in pritrino’s tenure we let the other teams score in double digits.though we out scored them by a mile.this school is need of a great defensive coordinator and tough as nails to get good recruits.yeah we had a few men come through and go to the NFL.great for them but as a whole team we need the leadership to bring a team to shut down the opposition. The offense is going to be sloppy this coming season unless one of the new transfers get this system of what i don’t know is down.
in total we need a new football team and head coaches and coordinators.

take a look at Tom’s take on http://smokinfastball.blogspot.com/
Isn’t it depressing what’s happening in Louisville? I can’t take much more bad football news or I will be forced to jump out a window – we live in a ranch style house so that would only tick me off more………………sigh

Where there's smoke, there's fire
So he “wanted to be closer to his ill father?” Ya, maybe. I’m just trying to spot a trend here when you couple this with Ted Roof who accepted a job, got started and then decided to flee to Minnesota (and now Auburn).
It’s not fair to compare coaches to Pitino, but can you imagine someone accepting an ass’t coach offer under him and then immediately leave for a non-head coaching gig?
I just look at Krag as a QB guru not forming a cohesive bond with NFL caliber QBs such as Brohm and Cantwell. And then you have Laterrius Thomas saying that he’s comfortable playing under Petrino or Ron English but not under Krag?? Have we heard anyone say that they’ll follow this guy into battle?

that's great news....
what scares me more than the expected horrible, losing season next year is a 7-5 season with a trip to an inferior bowl (ok, CRAP bowl like the Liberty or GMAC) and then Koach getting an extension or going year to year if he keeps winning. This Klown is satisfied to be mediocre (according to his past records). I can’t believe I’m saying this BUT I’d rather have that horrible debacle of a season to get his HUGE behind out of here, yes?

I know everyone's mad
But do we know that Miller had the same opportunity to go back tog Kansas last year? I don’t think he did, since they were coming off an Orange Bowl win. As for Ted Roof, he passed up a job as a position coach here to be a DC at Minnesota. I’ve seen what coaches make, that would have been a no-brainer for anyone.

What I've Learned
If Watching Tim Tebow and The Florida Gators Has Taugh me Anything it ’sThis….
I Promise You One Thing. A Lot Of Good Will Come Outta From This.
You Will Never See Anyone Type On The Message Boards As Much As I Will For The Rest of This Season .
You Will Never See Anyone Push and Root For His Team As Hard As I Will For The Rest of This Season.
And You Will Never See Another Team Fight Tougher and Harder Than Louisville Will In the Big East For The Rest of This Season.
God Bless.
