The Arena financing deal -- incredibly good!
Did you all see the terms of the financing deal- a FIXED rate at 6.45% !!
Guys that understand finance were falling out of their seats in astonishment this morn , when they saw that in the C-J. A fixed rate in this market at that %? Almost unreal...
I talked to a few partners at Greenebaum this morning and they said Hilliard's commitment made the underwriting syndicate finally happen.
I don't have all the intrigue--yet-- but , holy moley. This is like a double Christmas from a sheer numbers standpoint.

Terrific
I’m glad, and the arena is exciting news, but I am convinced that U of L is going to shaft me when it comes to the location of my new seats.
New Yankee Stadium
I’ve got a friend, BR7, who has had season tickets in his family since the Yanks introduced a fair trio of rookies in 1951. Gil MacDougald. Jackie Jensen. Mickey Mantle.
Anyway, as you know, this is the last season for the Big Ball Park and the moneygrubbing MoFo Yankee management has rewarded the years of loyalty by designating a prime location for his prospective season tix in the new place across the street.
His seats are so far out in fair territory, far beyond the left centerfield death valley, that they are literally in Yonkers.

my graduate student seats
will still probably be in the old freedom hall. Last row. In the corner like last year.

Student Seating
Doc,
I have already been working with the athletic department to ensure that students are a priority when it comes to seating at the new arena. Also, considering med schools campus and the location of the arena, you will likely see some changes.
If you have further questions or requests, feel free to email me (tmjoel01@louisville.edu)
the problem with grad students....
is that many of them sell their tickets and/or don’t even go to the games. My friends and I go and we’re cheering our butts off, while some people are yelling at us to sit down (old people who use grad student tickets).
I want to feel like a part of the student section. Others might not. That’s their prerogative (Bobby Brown reference). If grad students start finding their seats right in with the normal student section, they might actually want to go to games and start cheering. If they’re stuck up in the corner nosebleeds, they’re going to cheer as if their nose were actually bleeding.
