All-Time Series: Louisville leads 3-1

Last Meeting: Connecticut won 21-17 on Oct. 19, 2007

Excitement Level: 8.4

I never would have believed you if you'd have told me three weeks ago that the excitement meter would hit 8.4 before the end of the month. Of course the reason is because I would have been too freaked out by you and your out-of-nowhere remark.

Game Attire: Black Zack Stoudt jersey

Don't go to sleep on me now, Stoudt. Don't you dare go to sleep on me now.

Rock Keys Playing Alert Level: Laser Lemon (Does not look good)

Predicted Star of the Game: Bilal Powell

I'm feelin' it.

Predicted Number of Times ESPN Will Reference the Unfair Catch: 11

Notable and Quotable:

--Connecticut currently owns the nation's leading rusher in Donald Brown and the nation's sixth-best rushing offense, while Louisville counters with the country's second best run defense.

--The last time U of L took the field on Sept. 26, it stunned No. 3 Florida State 26-20 in overtime. The Cards are 6-3 all-time on the date.

--Connecticut is currently riding an eight-game winning streak in the month of September.

--Since joining the league in 2004, UConn is a dismal 2-11 in Big East road games.

--Randy Edsall and I have the same birthday...so does Pee-wee Herman...damnit.

--"We're not looking back on last year and saying 'If this had happened or if that had happened. I think in every loss there's some pain there and you want to go out that next year and get the win. As far as we owe them one or anything like that, no, not really." --Hunter Cantwell

--“They’re very similar to what they did before. Hunter (Cantwell) has got a very strong arm and he’s very accurate, but I don’t think he’s as mobile as Brian Brohm. He’s been very aggressive with his accuracy from watching him on film, and we played against him two years ago.” --Randy Edsall

--“Another national game, our first league of the year; it is a big game for all of us, including UConn. I think they’re a very sound football team. They don’t make very many mistakes. They’re going to make you beat them.” --Steve Kragthorpe

--"That wasn't no fair catch, that was a fair play out there. The referee didn't call anything, he said it was a fair play. I felt I didn't fair catch it anyway." --Larry Taylor

I'll take the under for a dollar

You set the total for “unfaircatch” mentions too high. 7 times max.

Go Cards.

UCONN! Geeked! Is this Basketball???

Can’t believe I am this geeked to watch UL beat UCONN in…FOOTBALL!

The Big East may be “down” compared to other BCS conferences, but I like our chances to go Bowling if we can win this one and build some confidence.

We should be able to beat WV, it’s SFLa and Pitt (on the road) that scare me. So even a BCS bowl is not out of the picture, yet.

Go!!! Cards!!! UL 28 UCONN 21

P.S. Glad your back, Mike. You were missed!

Time was, a win was WIN, now it's just a win.
