Ryder Cup

I have always thought that Ryder Cup looked so much cooler then Rider Cup ever would. So points for that. Anyway, prefacing this with the typical “I know this is a Louisville Blog, but;”. What are your thoughts on the Ryder Cup?
I mean everything from the competition itself to the impact and events it has brought to Louisville.
For me tonight is going to the real judge. Are there really 200,000 visitors in Louisville right now? Are any of them going to buy me a BBC Jefferson Bourbon Barrel Stout at O’ Shea’s? How long before I can start a USA! USA! chant at Brendan’s?

…and after dessert and sherry, we can retire to my oak panneled drawing room where we’ll indulge in some cribbage, review my first edition Wordsworth, enjoy the delectable aroma of a couple of humidored pre Castro Macundos, discuss the international markets vis a vis the 1971 Bretton Woods gold standard decision, and pound down three or four Jefferson Bourbon Barrel Stouts.
