Mister Victor
Big Time in the Prime Time. Victor Anderson showed that the future for this offense is bright... We definately have the talent to make things happen as he showed tonight!
Good Game for Hunter Cant-throw-well as Ive heard it be said.. he still missed on a some throws... but tonight he reminded us of why we were so high on him coming into the season... he was a leader out there.... Good Game!
I was telling somebody that even thought it was Kansas State... We were doing things in a fundamentally sound way. It looked good... Good execution on things...
The defense could have had a stellar game if they didn't miss 17 tackles on 3 plays that gave up 197 yards... (punt return and 2 passes) I didnt like the penalties... got a little sloppy for a second with them...
CHRIS PHILPOT HAS GOT TO GO! I DONT WANT HIM TO KICK ANOTHER BALL WHILE WEARING A CARDINAL UNIFORM.... that is unacceptable... MISSING a PAT... I can at least live with having a PAT blocked... BUT MISSING A PAT?!?!?! are you serious?
Where was the barefooted kicker? I was wanting to see it!
Overall, good game... We needed this mainly because it was a NATIONALLY televised game on ESPN2 and our offense put up near 600 yards... so that should at least keep some talent interested...
Keep rollin Cards keep Rollin!
Game Ball... no doubt.. Mister Victor Anderson!

the spin move...
…on Victor’s 56 yarder completely revitalized the crowd tonite.
After the demoralizing punt return (where goettsche unbelievably out kicked his coverage instead of shanking it out of bounds) took a lot of air out of the crowd, but the response from the offense got everyone right back into it…and then some.
That run was eerily reminiscent of the breakout run that Bush had on the second play from scrimmage in the UK game 3 years ago. I don’t know if everyone realized it at the time, but now we have a back that is a homerun threat from anywhere on the field, and from any type of running formation which will make our offense nearly unstoppable.
I can remember seeing Vic back at St. X and being amazed at how he could move a pile forward despite being so small. I always attributed it to the St. X linemen helping out…but now I realize that it was no fluke.
The way this kid ran through Big 12 linemen/backers and made secondary defenders miss was amazing. I for one am pleasantly surprised by this development and I apologize to Vic for not believing in him from the start. Vic’s upside has quickly passed Bilal who may end up in the Stripling role (lots of skill with nothing to show for it).
Time for a new man-crush Mike!

he is a bad....
MF’er. Our balanced attack (pass:run) tonight really worked well. All the backs did an exceptional job (although Bilal still doesn’t have that pop he had last year). Bolen will just run over people and Anderson’s 2nd effort on every play to get those extra inches makes me smile from ear to ear.
I’m not going to get to excited yet but there may be hope in this season. We definitely have seen a glimpse at what COULD be. We just need to keep building and giving Anderson some holes to run through.
Go Cards!

It looks like Bilal is overthinking out there. My guess is, he learned just enough about being a running back over the summer that he’s stop trusting his instincts out there and is getting overwhelmed. I liked the vision he showed in reversing his field in the third quarter(maybe fourth?), he just needs more time to get comfortable and regain his confidence. The Bilal Powell we saw last year is still there, he just needs to get the basics ingrained enough that he can stop thinking and start doing out there.
