I know this is a Cardinal blog and he's not a Card, but if you guys haven't seen this guy swim yet, you should.
Rumor has it he's pretty good in the water...
I will be able to tell my grandkids one day that I saw Michael Phelps swim. The guy is the best I've ever seen.
I'll also be able to say I saw China's "16" year-old gymnists. What a crock of you know what.

Being a former swimmer myself...
I swell with pride at Phelps’ accomplishments. The man is an absolute joke, his talent far surpasses anyone’s imagination. A lot of people truly don’t understand how hard swimmers really work. I swam competitively from age 6 to 18, and from middle school through high school, I was practicing 8-9 times, spending 17 hours in the water and 3 hours in the weight room WEEKLY. Phelps I’m sure practices more than that, at a far higher intensity, for longer, against tougher teammates. NBC has been covering him nonstop, for a good reason. Nobody else in the USA has stepped up near to his level of domination. Hopefully he will put out a bigger demand for this sport… maybe we’ll get big meets televised?
