Guys, give me your questions for Mr. Knowles please....

Never Restin'  is sending me some pics of himself growing up and I'm going to call him in the next couple of days.

Thanks,

The suit

Are any players on our team even discussing the Final Four for 2009? Is it something that is discussed or not?

What if anything does The Suit know of our incoming recruits? Impressions, perceptions, assessment of talent level?

Has The Suit always played with the level of tenacity and energy that he does at UofL?

The Suit

Thanks for referring to him that way, BR…it sounds vaguely familiar.
I, for one, hope he can stay as h u n g r y as he was his freshman year. When you have to claw and hustle your ass off, just to get noticed during Monday afternoon practice, just to get a vague possibility, a hint, a whiff, of potential playing time, it’s got to be a wonderful motivator, even for someone who already has a great work ethic. So it would be easy now that he has been noticed to slough off just a bit. It would be, well, common.

But I’m betting that Knowles is uncommon. I’m betting that he’ll be the crazed, pest like, wild-assed defensive banshee whose early season playing time, though scant, “winked” at us… and started that love affair we are lucking enough to experience from time to time when a supposed “lesser light” wins you over.

Know what I mean?

As far as 2009 Final Four…Man, that’s just a pipe dream. No matter how good we potentially are (and we are potentially REAL good), there are so many land mines to step on, so many things to go wrong, so many potential bad lightning bolts (Ball State, right Frank?) that I’m not even gonna think of the Final Four. Don’t forget, we can have a damn successful season without getting to the Final Four. Remember 2007?

Hot in the East. I saw a dog chasin’ a cat and they were both walkin’ (sorry, that’s the best I’ve got).

Have a great day, everybody.

The Heat Is Getting To Me

...I meant 2008…the years are flying by so fast now…I dive to the floor trying to grab the latest leaf as another month, another year, is torn from the calendar and goes by. Funny how the days d r a g , but the weeks, months, and years seem to be going faster and faster like that snowball going down a hill.
I better get a drink, go down to the clubhouse, and watch the Yanks.

Great Picture Frank

I’ve heard the phrase “allusion of past innocence,” but the innocence sure looks real here… and the future Suit (he never shopped at Men’s Warehouse cause he already liked the way he looked) looks oh so innocent.

I actually pounded down a few with number 22 when we were both eleven…he taught me how to rig a can of Busch with a church key so the whole twelve ounces would just
s l i d e down. Now that’s something they never taught in Cub Scouts.

Thanks

...for askin’ if he liked it as a nickname. Gosh, I thought I peaked with that one. OK, I guess it’s back to the drawing board.
