Roy Williams wearing Jayhawk Logo?
It probably was wierd for UK fans to see their Mr. Wildcat in Freedom Hall during One Shining Moment last night...but what about the travesty that UNC fans had to endure.
Their Coach, Roy Freakin' Williams showed up to the National Championship game with a giant Jayhawk Logo on his chest.
Could you imagine the backlash if UK knocked us out of the final four and Pitino showed up to the championship with a WildCat Logo beaming from his lapel...
What would do you think would happen if Slick
Rick pulled a stunt like that aound here?
Here's my best guess.
Best case scenario: U of L Fans ream him on his last call-in show of the season and then picket the athletic office demanding he be fired.
Worst Case Scenario: His house would be burned to the ground before his plane landed back here in Louisville. A rowdy crowd of Cardinal fans meet him at the airport and slash the tires to his limo. He's then tarred, feathered (with red cardinal feathers), and made to walk barefoot all the way back to lexington where he is hung by his toes outside the Wildcat Lodge while the mob beats him like a pinata. Richard Pitino is made new head coach!
just my 2 cents, what yours?

Total Eclipse of the Sun
Damn strait. He should have.
This was an old time judo move, the kind you'd see an advertisement for in old comic books or men's (not skin) magazines when I was a kid.
Cal KNEW the media would be coming after him because of his coaching omissions (the foul shooting thing, and most importantly, his failure to call time out after the second Rose made foul shot). This way (by copping to it ahead of time) he was hoping to avoid the inevitable shit storm.
When he said that one of his players tried to foul so Kansas would not have a chance to make a three point shot, I believe that was a lie. I've watched the replay 34 times and do not see it.
You can't let your whole season rest on the cerebral processes of a very tired 19 year old freshman who you think you impressed in an earlier timeout that he must foul.
That just doesn't cut it, Cal. Now you stand on the podium of other outcoached coaches. Right up there with Guy Lewis.
But your ploy to blame it all on yourself, not the players, for me, at least, does not ring true.
Feces umbrella, anyone?
It was a good night for you, Linda.
Now, I'll watch the womens game.
