Derrick Rose would just as soon you keep his name out of it
Derrick Rose will be the most important player on a national title winner if Memphis tops Kansas tonight, but the freshman still has a ways to go when it comes to mastering the age-old art of not audibly swearing into a live microphone during postgame press conferences.
In Rose's defense, if my name was mentioned in a question posed to Joey Dorsey, then my initial reaction would likely be very similar. My secondary reaction, however, would involve about ten times more running and crying.

"There You Go"
...Like...well...I'm an east coast guy myself...I've been around the block you know...I've scouted inner cities...carried suitcases for Larry Brown... You know how streetwise I am...and I respect you cause you're cityside and I know you respect me cause I've done that....Oh, DO I EMPATHIZE!
Hell, I thought he was from Long Island. Land of my wife, testy in-laws and Five Hundred Thousand dollar houses that, say, off Bardstown Road, would go for two hundred thousand.
Now back to Cheney. Never loved him, but as time goes on, I'm more and more with him when I hear him utter that poetic phrase toward Cal, "I'm gonna kick your ass."
I buy the party line about Memphis having the studs, but I'm rooting for the Jayhawks anyway.
Enjoy the game, everybody,
Roz
