Earl Clark Leaving

He has yet to sign with an agent, which means he can withdraw and come back to school. But i am guessing you won't see Clark in UL uniform next year, money is more powerful than education these days. You think DC talked him into it?

yep
at least partly

but i felt that he would be the one to go-- and actually have a chance at making it in the NBA.

Yes, but
...He's not ready, either.  You know that, Frank.  He's GONNA be ready.  He will (unlike DC) be an NBA player, but he's not an NBA player now.  Hey, those guys in the NBA are tough.  They'll take your lunch money.  They've been shaving since they were six.  I think I see in E5, a touch of tenderness that would benefit him (his game, fluidity, monetarily) if he stayed one more year.  Sure, he'll be drafted, sure he'll get a lot of money, but he won't play much and one day he'll be thinking of U of L and maybe he should have stayed one more year.
He could have been UP THERE.  I mean, WAY UP THERE in Card Folklore.  I'm talking Wesley, Beard, Darryl, Lancaster, Jeff Hall, Pancho Wright UP THERE.  He could have been PADGET up there.  But now that best he'll ever be is the top of the second echelon.  Tell me where I'm going wrong?

Ha! I didn't say he was really ready
just that he has a chance at making it.

But, he easily could have used the extra yr (We tend to forget that Darryl was a  not polished, T Will type --until he really put in the work in that final off-season.

He came back a new--and complete -- player.
